My Arsenal mate has just called me and said Fabregas has just claimed the injury sustained tonight is gonna rule him out of the World Cup.

Any news on this, or is it bullshit?

i was calling him 'out of gas' and 'broken ass' during the closing stages.

i amuse myself greatly.

He was trying far too hard post peno, considering he could barely walk, Should've just set up camp in the Barca half instead of hobbling about, he wasn't exactly any use.

Shame if he misses the World Cup though.

Impressive that he moved about with a potential break. Didn't Didi take a penalty against Milan with a broken foot? Pennant also played on a fracture I think.

First player i've seen break his leg taking a peno.... Anyway would he have started when he went to world cup spains midfield is very strong.

As I said above, Alonso will be chuffed.

Xavi, Alonso, Fabregas, Senna and Busquets for th centre. Mata, Silva, Iniesta and Navas for the wings.

Very impressive.

let's be honest, it'd be a travesty if they don't win the world cup. their squad's in a different league to england's - their backup keeper is pepe reina ffs.

Get up them, like the Arse did in the last half hour tonight, give them no time and break it up with fouls. Disrupt their play is the only way to beat them, Christ we will never beat them playing like-for-like football.

On a similar, but *slightly* less significant note; Dan Gosling out's for 9 months with a ruptured ACL.

He's no Jack Rodwell.

Really? Wow, they have had no luck with BIG injuries. Never a week or two, normally a season or two.
[/quote]

Really.

True though, they have had a brutal injury record for years now.

Skull fracture

Fabregas himself said that he thinks it's the fibula. He did however walk and shoot the penalty after the incident, you can't do that with a broken fibula no? Nessie?

Depends on the fracture. A simple hairline fracture with no displacement will give some discomfort and pain, but no deformity or crepitus. Especially if it is the fibula, the non load-bearing bone in the leg. It is just there for stability, nothing more so quite probably he is right if that is what he feels.
