Who honestly think these two will go unscathed between now and the summer transfer window. I would rather both are out until the end of the season a) it means their contracts are unlikely to be extended b) It could force the club to dip into the transfer market.
If they get injured in Feb we are fucked if no reinforcements come in

We're fucked anyway. Neither are consistent enough anymore and besides that, neither are really what we need in midfield. We've got no one who can dominate any more, that's not on Keita or Ox, that's just the state of affairs, Henderson and Fabs have both faded badly at the same time, we need a younger dominant midfielder who can hit the ground running and make a difference. Then you can play Fabs or Hendo and get more from them, because they're not trying to do jobs they are no longer capable of doing. You put an energetic, physical midfielder alongside them and we'll see a massive difference.

Not worth a new thread but thought I'd throw this in here as there's no other half suitable thread :

Trent Alexander-Arnold before the World Cup:
19 Matches Played
0 Assists
5 Big Chances Created
14 Interceptions
5 Successful Dribbles

Trent Alexander-Arnold after the World Cup:
4 Matches Played
2 Assists
4 Big Chances Created
7 Interceptions
5 Successful Dribbles

Ox, Keita and presumably Milner going (Melo too I suppose)

Hendo, Fabinho and Thiago going downhill

Jones, Harvey, Badger tits, Morton(?) all have their own issues which might be resolved and might not

Does anyone have faith we will sign enough players to give us any depth at all? I'm beginning to wonder if we should try and keep Ox

No, Ox doesn’t offer anything. Rather we give the same playing time to Jones, Morton or Bajetic.
We need to focus on trying to first 2 midfielders a season for next 3 seasons to ensure transition.

Compare his stats to last season and the distances he would run

You say that, but Jones has been injured (and probably will continue to be as shin splints are a bastard to get rid off) and there has been constant complaining about his performances, Elliott has had a lot of bitching about his performances in the last few months, the last match badger tits started he was called invisible and had people calling for him to be subbed at half time, and noone knows if Klopp even rates Morton.

Everyone always wants us to give time to young players, and then bitches when they aren't instantly amazing.

Jones has a contract still and feel it’s different to Elliot who like Ox seems incapable of playing in that midfield 3.
There are various level to giving someone a chance, giving another contract to 29yr old with a dodgy record who is unable to play right midfield feels seems a non starter.

I'd get rid of Jones too if a decent offer came in.

Gonna end up like Ox at this rate and not even as talented.

See if we can sell for 30m or use as a bait to sign Caicedo.

Yes, Trent's form has been one of the few positives in the last weeks. We need him to perform if we're going to climb out of this rut!

Roy actually thought playing Shelvey out wide was a good fit what a fucking doosh.

Sacking Rafa at the time was really a bad decision wasn't it.

That Wolves game at Anfield when we lost 1-0 was the worst performance I have ever seen.
It was just a culmination of everything that was wrong across LFC. When I hear people moaning now, I do feel like saying just suck it up.

A few signings in summer and show will be back in the road, just look at the Arse last season.

At Anfield? At that point in time? Under FSG?

We lost to Blackpool at Anfield the same year...a Blackpool side who eventually got relegated and had 1 of the worst defensive record in Prem history.

2010 under Hodge with Ward winner.
I was thinking is this the future? What now?

I remember that Wolves game - it is the only time ever I wanted us to lose, because I thought that meant Roy was done.
Proper dark ages does this to you.
