FA Punishments

January 2013

The Football Association has fined Sir Alex Ferguson £12,000 over comments he made about an official after Manchester United's Premier League game at Spurs.
The Manchester United boss, 71, accused assistant referee Simon Beck of failing to give Wayne Rooney a "clear" penalty.
The FA asked Ferguson to explain his comments and charged him on 29 January.

He denied the charge and an Independent Regulatory Commission made the decision after a paper hearing, which meant the Scot chose to send in written evidence.
"Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing today, Sir Alex Ferguson has been fined £12,000 in relation to media comments made after Manchester United's game at Tottenham Hotspur on 20 January 2013," said an FA statement.

So a previous 5 game ban, does it again, nothing done because the referee didn't report it (Eh?), does it again and gets a £12k fine. Hmmmm.

What? No accumulation of offenses resulting in a heavier punishment?

WHO'D HAVE THOUGHT IT???!
How about the fact that Ferguson had a 7 year boycott going with the BBC's post match interviews?
When the FA, having seen him do that for 6 years, decided he should be fined each time he does that, and proceeded to do so, why did they not keep increasing the fine, considering this was a repeat offender of the rules that never learned his lesson?
Double standards everywhere.
