Aren't you supposed to have Coutinho in order to replace him?

In theory, but we like to take our time.

Looks a lot like him, though. Low center of gravity, surprisingly strong, tricks and good vision.

A left sided Harvey, if you like, as well.

Absolutely, no reason for him to choose anywhere else. He’s in the first eleven within the next two seasons.

The boy Carvalho is good on the ball. very good.

Not so good off the ball though. no pressing, no intensity.

See I dunno.

I was originally going to make a joke about if he can oust the ever present thiago or man of steel keita out the team. But they counterbalance Harvey quite well. Can he play the sitting a little deeper move the play along role?

I think it's going to be a Harvey/Fabio selection headache

Yeah, you've got a point, took us 8 years to replace Mascherano.
We should really get the deal done quickly, this boy got it.

Carvalho playing well. Neco has been alright. Gave away, a bit cheaply, the corner that resulted in the 2-1 goal.

Mostly fair, but he has got it in him, which he showed with really nice tracking back, towards the end of the half, with a clean sliding tackle from behind against De Bruyne.

He just needs some coaching and Liverpool levels of fitness.

Coutinho was a poor presser under Rodger until Klopp fixed him.

Peter Reid looks like he’s going out solving murder mysteries after the game.

Someone said Grealish is the worst value signing this season

But I've somehow just watched 45 minutes of Wolves v Norwich and fuck me Fabio Silva is pure absolutely shit. How is he even on a football pitch? That's 35 million pounds - Wolves' record signing - down the drain. And the fools sold us Jota too.

He's just 19 years old.

Its probably part of a money laundering scheme.

The striker that Spurs signed last year was similarly strange

Maybe because he’s still quite young. As someone else said, though, that was quite a high fee for a teenager. Especially given what we paid for Jota.

Fuck sake. OK we got Norwich but ... City (A Peterborough) and Chelsea (A Luton) easy matches yet again. Everton vs Bournemouth or Boreham Wood.

Still a home game and it's also good because they're preoccupied with the relegation fight.

No other weekend thread so here we go.
Barca all over Atletico. Adama with a crossed assist before being subbed for Auba. Alba with a worldie. Atletico generally looking crap but have pulled it back to 4-2

Alves just sent off for violent conduct. Studs down the calf of an Atletico player.
