Spidey is right though in nearly every match he plays there is one major fuck-up in him, some he gets away with many he doesn't, regardless of how long left or fitness

job done - some decent play , lots of frustrating arsing about at times . Still look like a team with lots of players getting to know each other .

And the thing with carroll is , although his touch and play can be very frustrating at times , he still gets goals here and there . And ok he needed a goal but that's more from the huge price tag hanging around his neck ...it's not as if he hasn't scored at all for us , didn't score in preseason or was going ages without a goal. Fuck , he's doing a hell of a lot better than that torres gimp is at them tossers .

The problem I have with Carroll is twofold, one is his fault and one isn't :-


1. His lack of control/poor passing is absolutely shocking and leads to more breakdowns in our play that the rest of our forwards put together.
2. When he's in the team everyone else's heads turn to jelly and they just whack it up to him whenever he's in range (Flano and Henderson are both big culprits but others are just as culpable).


A double whammy for Pass 'n' Move which I am loving when he's not on the pitch.

I see what you're saying Froggy...
But I'd like to see as it as him giving us another outlet instead of being a stop-gap.

I personally don't mind having Carroll on the pitch as long as Meireles and Downing are playing.
I also believe that Gerrard will bring out the best in him.

When our best players are on the pitch we tend to keep the ball on the ground.
Enrique, Johnson, Agger aren't hoofers. Neither is Lucas, I'd even add Kelly to that category.
 
His control and passing is fine. It may sometimes appear differently as the balls he receives are tougher to deal with, ie mindless hoofs which he has to deal with while isolated and under tons of pressure from one or more defenders.

my point is why seperate players that as far as I can see pretty much performed at the same level? if I were giving scores I'd give the lot of them a '6' (suarez aside) no one did more to deserve more and no one fucked up enough to deserve less.

Is that whats confusing you?
Its really simple:
I thought that the players who i placed into category A (good) had a 'Good' game.
Those i placed into category B (Ok) i felt had an OK game....and so on! You follow?
If you need me to explain the last category (category C) lemme know.
