I'm not sure klopp will even know for sure who is playing until the training session today is done & the sports science people sit down with him & give their recommendations.

I think if they say all the top players can play today with little to no risk of muscle injuries then he'll do it.

I doubt that will be the case though, so I think we'll see a bit of a mixed bag.

Full backs are the obvious issue & could be the thing that causes us the most problem, the injuries to keita & Chamberlain mean Milner would be more valuable in midfield, but as he's the only viable experienced full back alternative if leaves us desperately short of options.

From klopps comments it would seem we will play mix of kids and fringes players. The likes of vvd, salah, mane should not be in the match day squad. I can see Milner and h nod being involved to add some grit to the team

Still bothers me that we started the season without a back up left back. We've been lucky with injuries in certain positions especially fullback.

I couldn't give less of a shit about the domestic cups. I hate Wembley, and never say never but I'd never go back... unless there was a CL final involved, or they were doing show trials of traitors like Farage and hanging them in the centre circle or something. I know he's going to play a very weakened side tomorrow, and if so I just hope we don't get beat and lose that record. If we draw, what Shadey said.

One thing we can’t afford is a replay. So I think he’s gonna play a reasonably strong squad. That and the fact that the team’s mentality and spirit is keeping us flying high. Who knows what a defeat at home to the blues would do to that. Tricky

Is the rumoured team doing the rounds
I'd be very surprised if one of Milner or Hendo isn't in the side just for the experience alone, to help the youngsters that way.

The fact that we haven't had any rumoured sides for a very long time & now we are seeing one makes me wonder if there's an element of a double bluff here, not so much to try to affect any tactics, but maybe in the slight, vain, hope Everton don't go full strength.

I would be happy to rest Firmino as he's been poor most of the season anyway, and was horrific against Sheffield United.

But I wouldn't make wholesale changes, injuries notwithstanding.

The idea of playing the likes of Adrian. Jones, Brewster, Elliot and that spastic Van DerBerg is too awful to contemplate; we will get fucked, because while Jones and Elliot have promise, they can't do it surrounded by mediocre players like Brewster and the Ginger Iceberg.

I didn’t suggest playing Van Den Berg - precisely because he is not up to this standard.

Adrian is capable of playing at this level - but, Allison is preferable.

Bit harsh on Brewster - I’d say he has promise too - he needs to be playing regularly, so a loan is more preferable.

The team won’t be told until after the final training session. For other final preparations sessions we have them at the kick off time for the game the next day. So today’s session should take place at 4pm.

It’s way too early to have a leaked team.

As I said earlier, I reckon a load of the team will depend on the sports science side.

If they turn to klopp & say that Hendo, VVD, gomez, & Gini are all fine to play I wouldn't be surprised to see them play. If they don't, then he'll make as many changes as necessary to protect them for the league games.

I'd be happy with the likes of Lallana and Origi playing, from the kids only Jones, Hoever and Elliot should be considered, the rest aren't good enough.

Any more changes and we will get bummed, maybe not Aston Villa bummed, but bummed nervertheless

Williams looks good and Klopp definitely thinks so since I think he's been on the bench a few times for our PL games.

I would add Neco Williams to the “good” list. Also Phillips will probably do OK, since he’s had a fair deal of competitive match practice lately.

If we’re making a lineup with kids and fringe players:

—————-Adrian————-
——-Gomez——Phillips—
Williams——————Hoever
———Lallana—-Milner———
——-——Minamino————-
Elliott———-Origi———Jones

No DSE... get with the program!!!

Milner can only run 13km a day because of blood doping.... all those years at Man City musta helped.

Or maybe he’s applying the same cream as Traore - but we don’t notice him getting whiter?????
Ha ha class post. Early front runner for post of the year
