While I'd rather see Arse get merked, I can't deny seeing that dirty little fat gypsy Hobbit Gattuso moan his arse off on the sidelines is making me rather chipper.

Hope the club doesn't want suso back. He's proper weak muck

It's a perfect league for slow, mediocre players to look much better than they really are.

The Europa league this year is full of big teams. Same as 2 years back. Somehow last year was full of shite.

If you're winning 2-0 and you've got Danny Welbeck playing up front, you know the opposition must be shite

we won a CL playing Milan Baros up front ...

Milan are not a great team - they spent their millions this summer upgrading their rather average team a notch ... If they qualify for the CL - they'll move up a notch again ... Chinese money backing 'em.

I doubt it, wasn't that based on a short term high interest leveraged loan from hedge fund? Also, wasn't it just last week it was Chinese Gov froze any money the owner had due to some bad debt?
The current ownership is in big trouble and doubt will spend anything as close to that this summer.

Watched some of Dortmund’s game - Salzburg were very impressive with their high pressing, playing a similar style to their Bundesliga brethren, and that high press rattled and overran Dortmund’s talented, but lightweight midfield of Weigl and Dahoud.

My initial impression of Peter Stöger having no clue about managing a club of Dortmund’s talent and ambition seems to be confirmed so far; he can’t quite force Reus, Gotze and co. to play the turgid defensive football of his former Cologne side, but he also doesn’t have a real attacking philosophy to make use of the awesome array of attacking talent in his disposal. Salzburg bossed the game and should have won by more than one goal. Pulisic was the one bright spark for the hosts, creating a goal seconds after coming on as a sub.

Didn't know of recent developments ... if that's the case, they're fucked (which may have been the reason they went for Gattuso - happy crowd, cheap alternative)

Yeah one of those deal that looked great on paper 2yrs ago but looks complicated and messy now. I believe last time I heard they have October 2018 to refinance the deal, sounds a bit familiar to our situation with Hicks and Co doesn't it? Bellusconi did well out of it but not sure about their legacy now.
