Wonder what are the chances of 2 tickets for this one. I'm already booked to go to Liverpool on the 14th for the Hillsborough memorial the next day
I hadn't realised it was the Hillsborough memorial the day after the second leg, the 14th is going to be a very special Anfield night, I can feel it.

Glad we are meeting them over 2 legs rather than the final. I honestly think the outpouring of emotion for Klopp in Dortmund may effect them. After the toxic atmosphere of the last 2 games it will be good to see a set of games played in the spirit of the competition. Cant wait

This will be a fantastic test for us, and if anyone is able to expose Dortmund's weaknesses, then surely it must be Klopp? Completely agree with those above that it will be a celebratory pair of games, the perfect antidote to the hate and bile that comes with playing Utd. Bring it on!

Absolutely.

One of the (many) problems following our 13/14 season was the complete lack of ability to compete in the CL. So even if we did get 4th this season then it could still have been an embarrassment.
If we can beat Dortmund then it'll show we can play at the required level.

Brilliant tie. If we go through against this lot we will win the whole thing.
Might as well get them out of the way. . .

Aubameyang, Mkhiaryan and Reus are tough to spell never mind play against. Probably the toughest attacking threat we'll face this season?

Better than Aguero, Silva, De Bruyne and Sterling?

Let's see how it goes. But don't think the odds are as bad as so many people are saying.

We're capable of giving them a game.

Yaya too, good point. I've watched a lot of their last 2 matches against Tottenham though and they look very dangerous.

In better form than the Citeh crew, yes, but overall I agree. This is by no means a foregone conclusion, plus they'll be nervous of the Klopp factor.

Aye good words Doc. I actually really Dortmund - God I'd love to to the Anfield one. Hell even the one in Dortmund. I wonder how hard it would be to get tickets.

Not the draw we wanted but it will be two fantastic games. Think we have what it takes to knock em out

We might get readily beaten by Dortmund, but this is a Champion's League level match up. This type of game is why we want to be in the CL at all so we should enjoy it and see how well we compete.

If the team gives a good account of itself and we make 4th (however unlikely that may be) we might have a chance to do decently in the CL next year. Let Klopp shop and see where we stop.

No.

I just know you need to think about what match ups Vince McMahon would consider would be a draw or have an angle.

Us v. Dortmund is a no brainer
Like us vs United last round

Well, at least this will be a proper tie - open game, mad tempo, and our players will know they're getting into a football game this time instead of being elbowed silly. Fans will be able to enjoy this game given the friendly atmosphere between the two clubs - I think the fans of the losing side will be happy to see the other team win it all. Can't wait!

Strangely, and against all expectations, the Europa is giving meaning to the end of our season, and really allowing our squad to mature under Jurgen in properly testing fixtures. Lets face it, if we'd drawn some eastern european nobodies in the last round nobody would be giving too much of a fuck about this competition. But because of an extraordinary draw against United and now Dortmund this competition really has our attention. If we beat Dortmund we'll probably fancy ourselves to go all the way and claim a CL spot through the back door. Thursday night footy? Fucking loving it.
