Israel eeked out a 1 1 draw with Germany... with zee Germans missing not one but two penalties.

There's some really really interesting talent coming up here (none will really develop well enough without going abroad as our league and infrastructure is shit) but one lad I really like is roee revivo ... his dad starred for celta but his son is a marauding lb who recently also made his senior debut. Really like what I see so far

The France Italy game is the only 1 I've watched so far, it was a very entertaining game with quite a bit of drama.....especially late on.

How there's no VAR or goal line tech in this is a shambles.

Been some strange results though.

Georgia beating Portugal?
Germany look pretty weak too.....
Ukraine beating Croatia?

I like the idea that everyone is just waiting to see how these players perform in 3-4 international games. Fuck what they've done over the last 50-60, these will determine whether they're worth signing or not.

I agree with the sentiment, but if they perform well, every chance they lash on an extra 5-10m, which knowing us we'll walk away from

Yep, I think we missed the boat. All this tournament is going to do is attract other parties and add additional millions to their values.
Who knows, all well and good to presume these things but the truth is clubs have their targets locked in well before the window even opens....& they only move on to other targets if it doesn't come off, i.e Arsenal now after getting pied by City for Rice, MAY or may not come in for a Thuram/Kone but truth again is these are competing on a whole different stratosphere to us.....

Gakpo played a super world cup, did it shoot his value up or was he valued by his cluy at 35-40m before?

Gakpo values likely rose, but if memory serves correctly, his club desperately needed the cash, so the interested d clubs likely had the power in the negotiations. I don't think he was a planned purchase for the winter, but the opportunity was there and he ended up being a key player.

We really just need to bite the bullet and buy both of them now
What we need is owners who are brave and take on risks.. so the owners need to buy both plus Viega. Daniel Amerty as backup for CB, and sell/release Matip ( he frees up a foreign space). Eliott goes out on loan

However its unlikely to happen @binomial
Twitter is saying we've made for Viega, Thuram most likely will happen and the fans want Kone.

Twitter said Bellingham was done. Mount was done. Twitter also said FSG would give Klopp 200m to spend......2 years ago, still waiting!!!!!

Let's just wait till the end of the window to who we say sign. If its only 3 players, I'll throw my toys out of the pram. My point is getting 3 more MFs is not a ludicrous ask especially if they're all moderately priced and all have different strengths. With FSG being the owners and Klopp's reluctance to call time on certain players we don't get to see the refreshment of personnel as much as we'd like so you're likely to be right than me, but I want to keep that glimmer of hope you're wrong
