yeah allen will play in the middle of the park, probably taking lucas' place for now, which is a bit worrying as he can't really defend that well (at least not from what i've seen)

id like eriksen as the AM and suarez on the wing, like khl suggested, however it looks like rodgers seems to prefer suarez in the middle and sturridge on the wing generally, which i reckon is a bit of a waste, suarez is deffo more adaptable, having said that it doesnt reeally matter because the front 3 is generally quite fluid

I can see Allen playing there personally, I see a front three of Suarez, Coutinho and Sturridge with Allen, Lucas and Gerrard behind them. Not too bad to be honest, assuming Allen picks his game back up.

Thats the key, I think we're going to have a very fluid front three, Suarez, Sturridge and Coutinho will go everywhere, and I imagine we'll be seeing LB and RB pushing further forward to join the attacks from the wing and we'll see Lucas pulling back to make a three man defence. Our interest in Papadopolous could also be caused by this, as he can play as a defensive midfield and centre back.

Allen will play with lucas. Rodgers has said on many occasions that allen only played the defensive role because lucas was out injured. He wants allen further forward. So im expecting lucas, gerrard and allen all together just as what @Mystic said.

I am not totally against that consolation but I believe there's still quite a few questions marks surrounding it. We watched them play last Season together and something just didn't seem right. Whether it was the balance, the lack of creative spark, goals.

I'd love us to sign a commanding DM and a creative AM, as I believe these areas to be our weakest in terms of depth apart from the likely CB position exodus.

suarez and sturridge need to be in the middle, they score goals, you need mobile fluid players around them, nominally on the sides, creating space and chances. Eriksen doesn't really fit that.

If I were Eriksen, I would ask myself, why leave Ajax and champs league football to go to liverpool who are not in europe?

More prestigious league and more money.

According to sources close to Dortmund a bid from the German club in the region of €12M has been tabled for Eriksen, however Ajax are allegedly holding out for €15M.

It is expected that Eriksen will demand in the region £50,000/week in wages.

We are, according to the same source trying our best to stress Dortmund as an interested has been submitted from Merseyside. Neither Ajax nor Eriksen's agent are willing to comment at this stage.

It looks like a two horse race.

Wasn't Lewandowski (sp?) only on 20,000 a week at Dortmund? Would they really pay Eriksen 50?

suarez will always drift in from the wing to get goals, i honestly think that suarez is that good that you cant put him pretty much anywhere in an attacking 4 and he'd be just as effective

I think most neutral fans throughout the world would agree that Liverpool is a bigger club than Ajax.

I hate Eriksen.
KHL has made me hate the cunt.
I hope he never comes near us the bald twat.

Not that he will.
So thats good.

You and Neil made me hate Babel (more than I already did)

and Modo made me despise Aquaman

Im only fucking around. I love windin me up a scando. Theyre so blonde and rugged and handsome and tall.
I cant help myself.

I made everyone love Aurelio though so I'm cool

Unlike some of the cult heroes, Aurelio started shit and got better. If he hadn't been made out of Dairylea then you really would have earned yourself some serous kudos.

I thought everyone liked and rated Aurelio?

I certainly did.

Not really arsed about Erikkson, TBH.

We've got Coutnho who plays in a similar role and I cannot believe anyone better will join us. What we really need, from an attacking sense, is someone who can plah right flank and replace Stewart Downing.

Stewart Downing is the definition of the seventh in the league. If we're to progress further we need to keep our main players and replace Downing and Lucas.

There was a lynch mob led by Brenden for the first few months when he arrived. But then it gradually faded into nothing

Yup, this.

And if we want a playmaker, I'd rather have someone in the deeper central midfield spot.

Eriksens comments last night on Agger's praisal a week back:

- I have seen it (Agger's praisal) and Liverpool is most certainly an option. It is one of those clubs you'd rate more than Amsterdam and it's a different league, a different caliber. It does sound very interesting, but we will have to wait and see if anything happens. I don't know if there's any specifics yet and I haven't talked to Daniel about it either.

In the same interview he reveals that he hasn't heard from Dortmund and that he finds it amusing to read all the stories about Dortmund. De Boer has confirmed that no formal approach has been made from the Germans either.

Thats a bit of a classless thing to say, if true.
