We made hard work of that in the last 15mins. Why do they always seem to retreat into their shells and lose composure in such situations? Fucking keep on going till the end and win the game properly.

I do agree that it was criminal we didn't score more but it wasn't for the sake of poor play; we opened them up on numerous occasions and were a two or three goal better team today. The one draw back was Rooney hitting the post - a goal could really have set him up for the next game.
Have to say that I thought Milner drifted out of the game for a while but he was a tremendous outlet on the right hand side of the pitch.

Hard to say at this point whether runner up is the better result yet but I'd prefer playing Ghana (who lead the group for at least another couple of hours) than Germany at this point.

The Germany who battered the Aussies would be a tough proposition for anybody, the Germany which stank the place out against Serbia not so much. You always have to take them seriously, but if we can keep today's improvement going I honestly think we'll put them away.
