In fairness, Degen is fucking wank.
He'd struggle to get a game for Grimsby..
We might as well have kept hold of Finnan.
And disrupt Benitez's right back merry-go-round fetish? Pah!
In 6 years Josemi, Degen, Gerrard, Mascherano, Finnan, Kromkamp, Johnson, Carragher, Kelly...anyone ive missed?
Arbeloa, and I think we all miss him.

That's awesome.

2m quid in the satchel to welcome you to the family.

37k a week in the pockets even if you're in the spa 6 days a week

Total Games played per year 3

that's like a million quid per game. How do I sign up to be a footy player?
Amazing isn't it ?

6 million quid on that useless cunt for 7 appearances over two seasons.

At least Degen looked lively, El Zhar was complete wank
Yup. Degen gave it a go, despite a lack of quality. He's like a fairly quick right back version of Kuyt.

I think it is unfair to put Babel in this list
I don't. He's fucking muck.

Lucas was good tonight (again).

Why? Babel clearly lacks a fundamental part to his game. Yes he's worked harder in recent games, but how much patience can you have for someone who's been hanging onto his 'ability' for so long. Yes he has pace and can beat a player every now and then, but he's hardly consistent and has a fucking rubbish footballing brain at times its just painful watching him losing the ball.

Lucas's pass for Benayouns goal was top quality, if it was Xavi people would of gone on about it
Yeh because Xavi's a consistent performer, and the worlds best at what he does. Lucas isn't even close.

Agreed.

Yay, he's now doing what he always should have been. He's been giving a fuck finally.

But he's still not very good.

Lucas had a good game. So it's a bit poor beating him when he did nothing wrong.
He played his Mrs Incredible role well if thats what you meant by good game.

I genuinely don't know what that means. :-\

I didn't think Lucas was especially good in any way; he certainly didn't have the all action agression of Mascherano, certainly not the pace and power that Babel displayed nor anything comparable to the menace that Gerrard carried. He wasn't playing badly - kept intercepting passes, kept closing down their midfield, kept fronting up to support the ball carrier and so provide some space. Didn't fail at anything nor dominate at any point. That ball for Yossi's goal, however, was a thing of beauty and IMO lifted a strong, solid performance to a very good one.
