Academy forward Jack Dunn has joined League Two side Morecambe on a half season loan deal.

The 21-year-old Scouser actually played against the Shrimps earlier today and netted as Liverpool U23s recorded a 2-1 victory in a pre-season friendly at the Globe Arena.

Dunn, who has battled back to full fitness after injury, has had previous loan spells with Cheltenham Town and Burton Albion.

Speaking to Morecambe's official website, Shrimps boss Jim Bentley said: "Jack is someone who has always impressed me and I am delighted that he has come to us.

“He is an excellent player and a great finisher and he will be a real boost to the squad and I am sure he will excite the fans as well."

It's a good move for him, but at 21 I really don't see a future for him at LFC.

Nope, unless something really happens, this is a move for him to get some exposure and hopefully land at a club where he can develop more (& earn more $$$)

Dunn's a promising player if his injuries are now behind him. Morecambe, though. Wow. He's got to avoid the temptations - Happy Mount Park, er, and stuff. Good chips in Morecambe, though, right up there with the ones at Fleetwood if you eat them quickly on the sea front with a gale in your face.

Playing in League 2 means he's pretty much doomed in regards to a future at LFC.
I think he'll become a decent Championship/League one player.

...And so we say goodbye to the Vardy Story: In the name of the Father, the Son, and into the goal he goes.
