Dunkin Donuts

Why does everyone turn in to a wanker when you mention coffee. Like everyone who drinks filtered coffee is a connoisseur and anyone who drinks from a commercial store is a peasant!

I drink nescafe gold and I'm proud.

In fairness when I said I liked Dunkin' Donuts coffee, my choice at the time was between that and Starbucks, and I drink the fancy, poncey, syrupy coffees most of the time. The rest of the time it is Kenco smooth or Nescafe gold or even Sainsbury's gold blend. I'm well aware I don't have any grounds to call myself a 'proper' coffee drinker.

Rumours from Twitter that Vauxhall are set to be the next sponsors to be announced in the next two weeks.
Main sponsor? Or another training kits alternative wrist tape sponsor? Because I'm pretty sure we renewed with SC not that long ago...

Oh, and for the record, coffee snobs who look down on others for where they drink there coffee, or the classic for drinking instant coffee should burn. Being a connoisseur is one thing, telling others what to drink is another. Saying that, I moan almost everyday that the grinder in our café coffee machine slightly burns the beans, oh god.

I think we already have a Chevrolet sponsorship/ partnership in place.

@Rosco - do you seriously think this is just an agreement for them to be a supplier at Anfield? If so, I seriously question your ability to stroll around like the grand master of Soccernomics.

We seem to be really getting our act together in terms of bringing in greater revenues from all streams possible. Moves like kit manufacturer, global partnerships (and finding a way of getting these large organisations to pay US, a team not even in the Europa League, to be the beneficiary), summer tours aimed at bringing in additional revenue.. These will all add up and play in our favour once FFP kicks in.

For years we have bemoaned the lack of commercial acumen at the club and we are finally seeing the beginning of this new strategy taking place.

If you only want us to get revenue from shirts, tickets and programmes - fine. But you then can't also realistically expect us to remain a top level team.

I don't think its particularly significant at all.

People,Hansern admittedly, are talking as though this deal is a game changer. Worth loads of money!

There's going to be some mutual advertising as they're our official supplier. How much do you reckon we'll make out of this ?

We'll make multiple millions out of the deal.

That's the crux of this IMO. Is this our ticket to the Promised Land all on its own? No. Can we get there without building up our portfolio of such deals? No again.

Who said it was a game changer? From reading back through Hansern's posts, he's said it was good news and worth some money to us. He never suggested we could buy Ronaldo from the dough.

Why are they called Dunkin Donuts?

Forgetting the completely incorrect spelling (it's doughnut, obv), why 'Dunkin'?

It doesn't mean dunking as in biscuits in tea, surely?! You couldn't stick a donut in your cuppa!

You must be drunk all the time, drinking all that beer.

Respect.

Or a hippy, drinking herbal teas.

In which case, not so much respect.

Herbal teas are even worse. In fact, I have no use for hot drinks of any kind, except vin chaud when I'm in the mountains. That I can live with.

Who said it was a game changer? Its apparantly worth a lot of money. Its not a game changer at all, but a probably a good addition to our current sponsorship deals. I dont know how much, and Ross certainly doesnt know.
Will it buy us Ronaldo? Of course not. Will it contribute to us having a better chance to compete under the rules of FFP? Obviously, thats why our commercial team are doing these kind of deals.
They will apparantly sponsor the US tour this summer. I'll bet there is a bit of money in that aswell..

I would expect it to make £2 - 3million a year. which on its own isn't significant, but when it is part of a series of partnerships being formed, become worth £20 - £30m a year between them and then suddenly that additional revenue does become a game changer.

And Hansern didn't call it a game changer. This is a forum, he posted some notable news. You said it wasn't worth any revenue, it has been pointed out that it does.

We only turnover ~£400m a year, if we start generating ~5 - 10% on top of that from these new partnerships, then that becomes important.

You realise Rosco's rubbing his cock here? Not that he's a troll. He just poses questions that no-one can answer because he's so insightful.

His exact quote is 'it's worth a lot of money'

It's not

Depends on what your definition of a lot is. It's claimed to be a multi-million pound partnership. 2 million would pay someone's wages.

Which in my opinion is a lot of money when it comes from one new sponsorship.
If they sponsor our US tour there is probably a decent sum for that aswell.
