Dumbledores Army 2017/18.

Yeah I am in. We are going to keep the pace until January and sign reinforcements before bolting away.
 
Put me down.

Although I'm a bit worried, we already have a general and a field marshal in an army smaller than your average primary school class.
 
No world class centre back and a world class Defensive Midfielder we are doom. Not dumb enough to join Dumbledore's Army. Yet.

Did we have Dumbledore's Army during the darkest days of Hodgson? I think we did. If @Oncy could muster some faith back for a team of Poulsens and Koncheskis, then now it must be a piece of cake!

Yeah but Oncy actually WANTED Hodgepodge as our manager. He was pleased.
 
I'm a life member. Assumed I was on one of those direct debit auto-renewal schemes, where I would still appear on the list 25 years after I die.
But if we have to do this manually ... I'm in.
 
I'm in, for the first time ever. Not cos I think we are unstoppable but because every top team seems to have major flaws and I think we might just do it this year. If we are in the running come January I expect we will move for VVD again to shore up the defence.
 
I've heard those army ads on the radio. You need to do them with a blocked nose and a rising inflexion that makes every sentence sound like a question.
 
Nope. Somethin' just ain't sittin' right. Maybes it be no Lemar, maybes it be no Virgil. But i ain't settin' me'sel' up for no fall.

Where is Tom Riddle's army?? I'll join that.

I thought we were brilliant against Arsenal and most of pre-season too. However it's the odd match here and there where we are likely to give up points we may otherwise not have, having Lovren and Moreno as our (it seems now) preferred left defensive side pairing, that is a clear weakness and that everyone targets.

It's those extra few points we may drop, that we could likely save with say a VVD +1 pairing, that for me will make the difference between 1st and 2nd and where I think we'll finish with this squad and CL football, 3rd or 4th.

Now of course if we could get VVD in January before we hit the real nitty gritty and fixture pile ups .....

A lot of Americans seem to speak like that and I can't for the life of me work out why .... drives me absolutely nuts !
