There are apparently suggestions in one or two of the papers this morning that we're open to offers for the Studge.

Who's going to offer anything for him? Other than scientists conducting some study on crock footballers. And we all know academia doesn't pay, so they ain't going to offer much.

Largely agree. Because of the guy's sheer quality some clubs might be interested in a loan deal, but that wouldn't be any use to us.

I bagan reading the interview with Pato all like fuck this guy and finished it thinking SIGN HIM!

In my head Coutinho and Pato are already Joga Bonitoing their way to 50 goals a season.

How am I still such a sucker all these years later?

I really dont know what you are talking about. Youre a very weird guy.
Sorry man - Too much wine and not enough thought. I quite like the fact you think I'm weird though. It's more interesting being called a massive drunken cunt. Peace.

Me too! He's "fast, injury free and in his prime".

Sign!

This will be the equivalent of buying Micheal Owen at the same age; injuries have ruined him, his pace will never be back and his peak has long gone. And he's not as good a finisher as Owen.

Would be a dreadful mistake

Not that I think this transfer will happen but his "pace" seems fine and quite the same as in his Milan days.

I've loved him as a player since he broke through at Milan. THAT goal against Barca, damn!
That said I dont think we're that interested and his agent has been offering him around in the Premier league.
The gamble is obviously if he'll adapt or of his great form is because of the Brazilian league.
A loan with an option to buy would be good. But not a 12 mill £ gamble.

What goal?

He won't be eligible for A Work Permit anyway, as he has not played for his national side in the last 2 years

According to ESPN Brazil he's about to sign for Chelsea. 8-10 mill fee and 3 year deal.
If it goes through it will be interesting to see how he does in the PL.
