We don't think so after spotting there are four left hands in the snap!
New Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is resigned to losing Ashely Young to Manchester United.
The Reds have been successful with a bid of around £16m for the England winger, who should complete his move when he returns from a summer break.
“The guys are on holiday at the moment,” said McLeish, who is determined to hold on to Stewart Downing.
“When they are back in England I will try and get a meeting with them. I don’t know but it seems that Ashley is going to leave.
“I don’t know if the Young one is a fait accompli but I’ll certainly be looking to try and keep Stewart.”
Aston Villa have said that a photo showing Stewart Downing posing with a Liverpool scarf is fake, even though it looks pretty real to us.
A photo circulated on Twitter this morning showing Downing and Andy Carroll clutching a Liverpool scarf in a bar either side of an unidentified female, with smiles plastered across both players’ faces.
The half-decent Downing has reportedly been a Liverpool target for some time given the Reds’ patent lack of width in their midfield, and Kenny Dalglish is eager to add to a squad that only got going in the second half of last season.
The picture will only add to speculation linking Downing with the club, although Liverpool officials are also bound to be worried at yet another picture of Andy Carroll at a bar during pre-season, considering he has already been pictured enjoying himself on holiday with Wayne Rooney in Barbados.
Villa have moved to deny the authenticity of the picture, with a spokesman for the club saying: "The picture is a fake. I've spoken to Stewie and he has assured me of that."
McLeish, unveiled at Villa yesterday after his shock switch from Birmingham, insisted he doesn’t want to lose the England ace.
The manager said: “No chance do we want Stewart Downing to go. We certainly don’t want to lose Stewart – he’s a top player.
“I need to see what Stewart’s thinking when he comes back because I know that he made some comments when he was away on England duty.
“He’s a top player and has a couple of years left on his contract and it’s very important we hold onto Stewart.”
