it appears we ran out of space.. (or came close) and the database went tits up..

Increased capacity (at a small cost).. so we should be ok for a bit

Truncated the sql search_index and rebuilt the caches seems to have done the trick..

Do we have a way for people to donate to these costs?

I appreciate that you wouldn't ever ask for it, but I'm sure I speak for a lot of regular readers/posters in saying that a couple of quid from many is fairer than a few taking the hit.

Fair enough if there's already a system in place.

I've just trimmed the DB, which should also cut the current DB usage and its relevant backups by a 1/3, which should ease things a tad..

Gandi ran into issues it seems. Although we do have 1 or 2 issues ourselves that require a tweak here n there, in respect of the Database..

For now business as usual..

I'm hoping the intermittent Storage 28 SQL errors should now be resolved

I've resized the data drive and relocated the tmp directory storing mysql temp files (the DB) write to and cleared out space..

Please let me know if we run into any more issues..

Right site has been optimized..

new kernel..

SQL Storage errors defo fixed.

System disk size increased

Search index rebuilt..

Should be a lot faster and error free.

Software update will be carried out next weekend..
