For example, his angry hurling of his water bottle to the ground: they might as well just insert archive footage. George Graham had a right go at Wenger in the press at the weekend. Basically saying that he can't continue using the 'rebuilding' and 'youth' excuse. He was saying that Fergie has managed to rebuild his teams whilst challenging for and winning trophies.

Graham certainly has a case of sour grapes but I think the fact that he's getting the boot in now suggests that Wenger's position is considerably weaker than it ever has been before among the extended Arsenal fraternity.

Listening to Wenger's attempts to explain the current situation away has been pretty cringemaking at times. He can be a whiny hypocrite too often for my liking, but he's a bright guy and there's always been some rhyme and reason to what he says - until this season, when an increasing number of his statements have actually been empty and sometimes pretty meaningless waffle. It's gotten embarrassing now. The guy has reached his sell-by date.
