I think its apparent we need to keep him til Summer if we want to get maximum cash for him.... Man City are bound to want to buy him in the summer, they just wont be able to help themselves, same with Barca too I suspect.

Of course I want him to stay. He is possibly the best striker of his generation. He will help Liverpool win games by scoring loads of goals. I've not given up on him yet. I know he handed in a transfer request but until I hear from his mouth that he wants out - I will hold out hope. Imagine if he stays until the summer and in the next 4 months strikes up great partnership with Suarez. Scores shed loads and rediscovers his love for LFC?

I think he is being badly advised and need the oppertunity to clear his head, if he still wants out at the end of the summer then so be it but at least we'll have the time to find a replacement. suarez was supposed to partner torres not replace him.
also in the summer others will get involved and this will drive the price up. don't sell now, in no way shape or form is it to our advantage so why do it?

If he hadn't spent most of the past 16 months or so sulking his way around the pitch I could forgive him his mistakes now.
He hasn't been happy for a while and he's let it affect his work-rate and commitment. If he doesn't go now he's thrown his toys out of the pram, he'll only get worse and affect team and fan morale.
