I understand that on the Continent, and particularly in Germany, it is considered good manners for chaps to sit down to piss, in the same way as the ladies.
I believe the logic is that when we piss in the normal manly way, we tend to miss the target on frequent occasions and even when our aim is true, a certain amount of spray is distributed around the bathroom. Sitting down avoids all this.
Speaking for myself, I consider that sitting down in this way is unmanly, particularly as many of us have womenfolk who can go round the bathroom with a mop when necessary.
I would be interested to hear comments on this subject from any of our friends on the Continent and further afield. 🙂
