Can we now please sack Uncle Roy? I know he comes across as a nice man and all that, but the season is well and truly over and its time to rebuild with someone who actually knows what he is doing.

He couldn't win an away game even if you gave it to him..

You're getting as dull as Rage. Do you need a thread like this every time we concede or lose? I think not. Perhaps Maxi and Torres should be sacked for missing those chances. That's the reason we lost.
 
We played well today and were unfortunate.

I thought Roy had us set really well for a change and we deserved more out of the game. I've never wanted him here, but to start a campaign to sack him after arguably our best performance of the season is a bit misguided imo.
 
I'm not a fan of his style either. But today we were organised and played well. It's not Hodgson's fault Maxi couldn't finish his dinner. Or that Torres missed 2 great chances. Or that our defence is as slow as erosion.

The letter to Mr Henry should start with..

"Please can you buy us some quality, mobile players.. and then sack Hodgson if he can't get the best out of them.."

Torres and Maxi both missed chances to put the game beyond Spurs in the last five minutes of the first half and the first five of the second half. There's not a whole lot Roy could have done about those.

Try buying more creative players instead of Konchescky and Poulson and expecting everything to go through Torres.. The truth is we should of been beaten by more.. His tactics are woeful...

Whose responsibility is it to prepare players for games? Besides, Roy could have avoided his usual timidity in telling them to sit back after half-time. That's where the game was won and lost.

Buying Cole was a huge mistake, he takes up a huge wage, is old, injury prone and doesn't have a proper position on the pitch. I can't believe how many people thought we traded up when we let Yossi go for him. Guess its that famous English bias. Eventually everyone will regret us signing Cole.

the board shouldn't ever listen to the fans as fans are fickle but they (the board) shouldn't ignore evidence which is in front of their face, that said I think the time to sack roy has gone, best to let him see out the season but sound our the potential manager now.

We had another 2 strikers on the bench in babel and jovanovic........ We could...you know....try them.
Are you blaming roy for a poor summer when we had no money when we needed to replace masch and get a left back?

Why did he buy two Central Midfielders and Attacking Midfielder and let one who is playing a blinder in Italy go... ?

He wastes 6mill on an ageing Poulson.. surely a young Spearing would of been a better option if he is not going to play him.... Blood the youngsters and all that

The 6 mill could of gone elsewhere for at least a winger.. on someone with at least some creativity..

As for Jovanavic.. he should be given a chance, play him behind Torres... He has pace...

Unnecessarily pedantic imo, we should never have signed him. He has no position in a 4-4-2 and he's not very good at the position he wants to play in a 4-2-3-1.

Aqua might have been homesick, no one knows exactly why 2 managers didn't trust him. He might have struggled in this country this season. Mereiles has been a revelation for us and has proved that he is a fantastic player when played in his true position, and proved he is a good player in other positions. Poulson was always goign to be back up to lucas. Spearing might not have been able to handle that pressure, roy had only just walked across the threshold so to immedialy presume he knows the motives and ability of EVERY player immediately is unfair.

Roy is poor and should go, but i dont' think he could be blamed for today
 
He wasn't bought as back up for Lucarse, but it's a measure of how fucking shit Crapsen is, that that is exactly what he has become. Because Lucarse is still rubbish.
 
I want Roy sacked, and i'm not basing that on this game. Roy has proven that he can't handle this job about 5 weeks ago.

Today we played well in the first half. But after taking the lead, Benitez's teams, for example, are nearly impossible to break down. Because they know and apply the tactics to control a game by keeping possession. Roy Hodgson has never shown he can get Liverpool to play that kind of a game. I'm not surprised we surrendered the advantage we had...at all. Saying that Maxi should have never missed that chance in the first half is not a valid argument against how we imploded tactically in the second half. I have formed that opinion based on what i saw. I would like to see the stats to reconfirm.

On the plus side. Raul Meireles makes me smile a lot this season. He is a very good footballer. What a shot that was.....
