Hhahahahha it's real. Excellent.

De Gea going home from the Euros ... according to the Independent
Gollems Ballbag says he's staying. I'm leaning towards the Independent myself.

@GuillemBalague: De Gea has not been sent home. He is in the hotel with the national team. There is a court case on the way. Innocent till proven guilty

Yeah I get that there's a victim in all of this but having accepted that, if a kid is being bummed somewhere, then I can happily accept this as a silver lining.

The Daily Mail agrees with Ballbag.

But also say :

The statement said: 'She [the protected witness] wants to make it clear that the meeting was set up by another footballer called David de Gea, who is allegedly the person who would have paid for the costs of that event that day.'

The online site said the protected witness had sent WhatsApp messages to de Gea afterwards to find out who the other player was - and was told by the Manchester United goalkeeper that he also played for Atletico de Bilbao but was given no further details.

Investigators are understood to have copies of the WhatsApp messages that were exchanged between them.

David de Gea will hold a press conference at Spain's base in Isle of Rhé within the next half hour after his name appeared in a police investigation into Spanish pornographer Ignacio Allende Fernández 'Torbe'.

Spanish portal "eldiario.es" published information this afternoon in which they assured that a "protected witness" has implicated De Gea and Iker Muniain in the case and included extracts from the police report.

National Police sources have confirmed that the documents which have been published are authentic and are in the hands of the judiciary.

The Spanish Football Federation announced this morning that Héctor Bellerín and Aritz Aduriz would be holding the evening press conference but changed their plans when De Gea's alleged involvement in the Torbe case gathered momentum on news wires.

The Manchester United goalkeeper is due to speak to the media at 17:45 hours local time (CEST).
