Bit of a madness that he stayed as third choice last year, poor guy. To go from that to being a starter at Leicester must be a mad one though
I imagine he might have pushed for this move after we spunked all that cash on a new number one. Clear to him and everyone else that he would never get the chance here.

I think he would have got a fairer crack if he hadn't turned up for last year's pre-season looking like he'd had a 1970's style footballer's summer break. Apparently the fitness team were seriously pissed off and Klopp regarded it as a sign he wasn't ready for challenging seriously for the first team spot. Ironically, this summer he's come back looking very sharp and focused, but it looks like it's too late.
Mad. We should have kept him.

Leicester have agreed a £10m fee with Liverpool for goalkeeper Danny Ward.
We understand Ward is being brought in to provide competition for Kasper Schmeichel, not to replace him.
Ward is expected to take a medical and discuss personal terms in the coming days.
