Daniel Pachecos Idol

As was talking to my neighbour before and he was telling me an interesting story - apologies if this has been posted before. Anyway, Pacheco was interviewed recently and asked who his idol was - to which he replied his brother. Obviously the interviewer was intrigued so dug further.

It turns out that when Barca went in for Pacheco both he and his kid brother were at Malaga. Anyway Malaga basically turned round and said if Daniel went to Barca his kid brother would have to leave Malaga. His brother told him he had to go to Barca and then promptly got kicked out of Malaga as a result.

That's the meaning of brotherly love. Giving up any chance you may have to fulfill your dream, no matter how slight, to allow your sibling to fulfill theirs.

He's brother sacrificed his Malaga career for him to play at Barca. Not to to move to Liverpool soon after. Surely the better way to repay his sacrifice would be to remain at Barca? It would be in my opinion.

I'm not at all doubting the sacrifice. I just dont agree with how it was repaid, thats all.

You could just as easily say that the family made that sacrifice so that young Dani could further his career - that doesn't really require him to stay at Barca for the rest of his career. If I recall correctly from one his interviews, he is a Real Madrid fan anyways.

Because it reads like the dream was to play for Barca. So when did the dream switch to Liverpool is what I'm trying to say.
