Maybe, but he wouldn't have. As I say, I don't think Pepe can have too much to complain about, but if the ref knows there is no contact, that's never going to be a sending off.

If the challenge is reckless Doc, its a sending off. No naivety on my part. Its naive in this day and age to expect the other player not to react in the way Alves did. Sad but a current fact of life.
 
I hope Alves does the same again in the final, in the last minute, finishing his dive off with a pirouette and double salchow to earn an undeserved 1-0 win through a penalty.
 
He can do that by all means, but I for one do NOT want the score still to be 0-0 after 89 minutes. Barcelona 7 Manure 0 please.
 
Why are we even debating it? Madrid are cunts, so is Jose, they've both got what they deserved, Barca are the better side anyway. I'd love them to win it at Wembley.

I hope he rips the cruciate and medial ligaments in both knees during the pirouette, lands on four fingers in his right hand - breaking them all while Vidic jumps on the other hand. I'll be happy to see Messi put the penalty away so long as Alves faces a two year recuperation period during which time he learns what injury really is.

Rules state its a red card, he had his studs up and didnt get the ball. Its dangerous play. Deserved the red even though no contact was made. In real time it looks like he did, only when put in slow motion do we realise he didnt touch him.
 
I don't think too many are too annoyed with the card, it was dangerous.

Ahh fair enough, I support Barca in Spain, obviously not to the same degree as liverpool but that was disgraceful acting. He should be punished for it. No room for diving cheats in the game.
 
I was in Madrid for the game (although boy actually at the game) and they were going mental out there and tbf I don't blame them. Pedro and Sergio in particular were terriable, and the saddest thing about it is that that they don't need to do it, they're such ab outstanding thing, there's just no need for them to resort to that kind of dirty play.

Maureen's Inter got away with all kinds of shit last year against Barca (Samuel and Lucio) so, fuck him and fuck Madrid.

Looking forward to a compilation featuring the Angel Di Maria theatre today against Zaragoza. In just 30 minutes he was like 4-5 times on the ground acting as if he got shot.
Oh and they ended this game with 10 players again. Carvalho sent off. Maurinho should really start telling his players to stop playing so dirty.

As much as I dislike Barca, I want them to drub United and humiliate them in the final.

If Utd can stay on 18-3, I'd be chuffed. Finals though are once offs and the Scum have a chance.
