I can't wait for the dogger and Aurelio to be fit again. They'd both start in my back four, without them we see far less capable in defending and secondly going forwards.

Both are first class footballers. Neither Skrtel or Insua are great footballers and Insua has been dropped in the deep end a bit and hasn't been too consistent.

It doesn't help that Carra has had a bit of an iffy 09, hopefully he'll up the ante next week

Certainly; Skrtel and Insua were both poor today.

But the whole team lacked concentration, fluidity and sharpness. Very disappointing start to the season against a paper-thin club.

Aurelio?? better defending?? we conceeded how many against chelsea with him in the team (and Arsenal) that's about 11 goals right there

aurelio isn't the best defender but with him in the side we'll keep the ball better and hoof the ball less we'll also take better corners and set pieces. no way should insua get the not over aurelio, aurelio is like what alonso would be at fullback.

Yes, Rebel all 11 came down the left you plank.

You're the turd who seems convinced that we can't get a result against a decent premier league side without fucking lucas.

when did I say that?

quote me, use the search and find it

Insua is better than Aurelio, for the mere fact he is fit for more games than Aurelio, and there is not much between them as footballers.

Agger is veering down the same path as Aurelio, i hope he comes back fit and holds down a place in the team.

I prefer Agger to Skrtel any day of the week when he's fit, but that's fucking few and far between.

That's bollocks.

Aurelio is head and shoulders above Insua as a footballer.

In terms of technical ability on the ball especially you can't compare the two.

Some people quickly forget how important Aurelio was during our best run last season.

insua has nowhere near the technical ability of aurelio what insua has over aurelio is pace and physical strength. I'd have aurelio over insua any day of the week, I like attacking fullbacks but they've got to have end product.

aurellio is the better player but then we didn't lose today because of what insua did or didn't do.

oh and what's the point of having a record signing left back on the bench. he's either good enough or sell him.

Aurelio and Insua is a fine #1 and #2 partnership though.
[/quote]

That is correct.

I'd be happy with Insua as our number one left back i'd be happy with Aurelio as our number one left back, both are good enough, it's win win really.

Totally agree. Those who say Insua was poor today are talking shite.

I watched Insua pretty closely today and I thought he played pretty well.

Although he is inferior to a fully fit and on form Aurelio.

Because of their injuries, I found it difficult to be harsh on either Skrtel and Carragher today.

I'm trying to think of a more damning reply than "no he isn't" but can't come up with one.
