Reina's conceded more goals than most goalkeepers this season, so if you're going off current form alone, you'd have to have someone else in there.

that probably goes for gerrard as well.
 
And "favourite of the board" Ibrahimovich would have to be in with a shout as well....
 
If it's based on current form, then Iniesta can't be in the side because he's barely played this season.

I would put Pique and Xavi in though.

Don't watch too much of Barca, but caught (parts of) the 2nd half against Almeria
Saw Pique coming off the bench to replace Marquez. Assumed, that with Puyol, Marquez and the (expensive) new guy he'd be the one to be benched.

Also, isn't Puyol the Barca equivalent of Carra? Suprised he's been dropped.
 
I wouldn't quite say he's been dropped. Guardiola has rotated at the back, although I would say Pique is their main man.

Interestingly, at the age of 31, Puyol is in the last year of his contract. It'd be a bit sad if he didn't finish his career at Barca.

You think he may retire if they don't offer him a new contract? I'm sure they'll ask him to come back as a back up.
