Javier Mascherano.

A magnificent footballer... What he does isn't sexy, but he's as good at it as anybody not called Messi. He was unquestionably Argentina's best player in last summer's World Cup and on a team of household names, he is often ignored when they talk about the talent on that side.

Loved him here, still love watching him...
 
Remember when he was slated because he was supposedly a shit passer.
The most over used cliché bollox ever.
He was always outstanding.
I hated the way he left the club but he had his reasons I suppose.
I miss players like him the kind that wouldn't fucking lie down no matter the circumstance.
Rafa signed some fucking cracking players in fairness.
 
I loved Masch - and he's made a move and won a shit load of trophies now, his right I guess ... That being said, though Di Maria was Argentina's best player in the world cup.
 
He was both sublime and ridiculous last night.

Either way he's been sorely missed and never replaced, unfortunately

I very much doubt that, Bernd. It was Hodgson who said that. He said the same about Sterling and then admitted that Sterling hadn't done any such thing. Masher has always denied it and I believe him, because Hodgson is a lying, over-promoted nobody and because Masher always gave everything in a Liverpool shirt.
 
Great player, thought he was pretty ropey last night mind, probably the worst player in a Barca shirt
 
Yeah, it wasn't the best I've seen him play by any means, but then I've never known why they insist on putting him at CB.
 
A proper footballer who understands how games work. If we had a player with half of his game management at the club we'd be better off.
 
Mascher was one of my favorite players in his time here, would welcome him back even when he is 37 years old and not good anymore.
 
Good player n all, but when I think of players "I could watch all day" then Javier Mascherano doesn't usually come to mind.
