Costa to Chelsea

He's a massive cunt on the pitch - makes Suarez almost look like a saint - but he's had a great year, and we can only hope it's a blip! Othewrise, Mourinho has his 'killer'
 
Is Costa really that great? Think he might just have had a really good year, personally, from the bits I've seen of him.

He's uncannily like Suarez in regards to work rate and technical ability from what I've seen and although it might be a case of a nearly there season before finally exploding like Suarez , I think long term he will add that killer instinct that Chelsea have really been lacking recently.
 
The fee is agreed as they've met his release clause. No one knows if he wants the move or not.
 
What I saw of him against the only premiership team he was quite poor tbh..
He'll be a flop.

To me he's never looked in the same league as Suarez, technically. IMO if he's a hit at Chelsea it'll be as a properly awkward physical monster type like Drogba.

Time will tell I suppose.
 
Whenever I've seen him he's looked a bit shit. Granted, I've only watched like 4 games of his, so who knows.

Obviously though he could have a bit of the Juan Pablo Angels about him and just have had a monster season
 
Fear not Mourinho will probably fuck him off come the end of next season after he's falled out with him.
With their history of strikers they've only ever had one true success and that was Drogba. The rest have been binned off or never given a proper chance. That's the only history they've got.

they paid about a mill for him mate, Every time Athletico lose a striker the replacement just seems to do even better.

They've lost Torres, Aguero, Falcao and most likely Costa yet still are competitive
 
I think he is exactly what Mourinho needs, sadly. Be good to have another player for the media to get outraged about though.

I know, even so in the context of his talent, atletis achievements this year and the massive uplift in money again next season i reckon it's a bargain.
 
He's very good.
He'll get 20 plus for them whilst rustling up every defender in the league.
 
But I thought Moanyho only liked strikers who are fair, didn't dive or try to get defenders carded?
 
He is a good player and exactly the type of Mourinho will love working with.

32M is very good value for a big name striker these days. Silly At.Madrid if that is indeed his release clause.

I vaguely remember reading something about him not wanting to leave but I think he'll be sold regardless.
