Nice story. IMO "retiring" a shirt is a pretty silly thing to do anyway, but at least Exeter didn't just stick rigidly to their previous decision regardless.

There is slightly more to the story than that info graphic.

They retired the number 9 for 9 seasons.

It's been available since 2020.

Also. Jeff Stelling sounded a bit emotional yesterday when he announced his hattrick.

His Dad was the one who Stelling used to always say "Lisa will be happy" when he scored.
