They get a good run as back up. Best of those 3 was Evans, and a lot of united fans wanted to improve on him.

If Masterson ends up like Evans I'd be happy

This clip is made almost unbearable by the music, but if you can bear it you'll see a fair bit of his character as a CB. More Lawro than Hansen, he favours a longer pass out than many, but like VVD he's fairly accurate with it. He can do the crunching tackle, but it's his calmness on the ball that makes him stand out.
