Comolli Interview

Downing and Adam I reckon. Carroll mostly Comolli. The others probably more or less joint decisions.

In my umble opinion.

I agree with you on whose ideas they might have been but ultimately they were all Comollis decisions. Which is why he got the boot.

Quite possibly. It wasn't so long ago that you were rejecting the suggestion that Comolli should shoulder more of the blame, and sticking to the official line from the club that the final say was always Kenny's, though...

Have you changed your mind on that? Cos you said it more than once I think. Genuine question.

Legally the power is always the DOF's, Premier League rules state a manager can't have the final say. I do believe Comolli deferred to Kennys judgement. Maybe not on all transfers, but Downing is a typical conventional footballing wisdom mistake that a football person would make.

And I believe Comolli got the sack because he deferred too much to Kenny's opinion making himself largely redundant.

I spoke with the journo briefly as I have dealt with him before, and he said he's a intelligent guy. Calm, composed and a really interesting to talk to. Very respectful even to younger journos, spoke for close to an hour. Definitely Couldn't speak about Liverpool due to discussions

.

It literally could be ANY of them (the British bunch, I mean), couldn't it?

exactly , none of downing , carroll, henderson or adam have looked like they can handle being here .infact it's a fucking disgrace that nobody thought to question if they could before they were signed . Or worse someone did question it but concluded they could handle it .
