Mourinho is apparently first name on movie-director Lars von Trier-lists for potential leadcharacters in his new movie Anti Football...

It's funny because it's true.

It's not funny

I know... it was my best shot sadly.

And at least that one shot was still more than what Inter managed for the full 90 minutes of football yesterday.

Now that's funny. And sad too.

The thing is KHL, Rafa would have absolutely loved that tactical performance by Maureen. I doubt very much he'd have done anything different, and you'd have lauded Rafa if managed the same feat.

Tactically, Rafa and Maureen have much more in common that anyone from either side of the fence are prepared to admit.

Yep. We could do the "goodbye to the old manager meet the new manager" tread again.

Obviously.

Although Mourinho wins more and is a better manager.

I think he's much more dynamic in terms of changing things when the system isn't working.

So I suppose I agree.

inter's tactics were negative as heck but the bottom line is they had their goals and didn't need to go looking for more goals, it was up to barca to break them down and they ran out of ideas, no plan b whatsoever.

Perhaps. But he's also been in charge of the top spending team in the world in Chelsea and the runners up the same category in Inter.

You would kind of reckon he's got a little more to choose from than say Rafa who's been entitled with a NET SPEND of MINUS £12M for the past 1½-year. Hence the lack of 'dynamics'' perhaps?

Look, Mourinho is a brilliant manager at what he does. I'm just not fund of hiw ways and as he'll never get the same spending-power with us he'd just make us an even lesser exciting edition of what we've already got.

I heart Rafa the man, I kind of the opposite when it comes to Mourinho.

Luckily he's already Real-bound.

How much money he has or has not is nothing to do with the way he persists with the same team and tactics for an hour of the game every game, whether we're playing terribly or not.

I like Rafa too KHL, and I hate Maureen's self adoration. Nevertheless, I do think he's up there with Rafa tactically, but brings a more decisive capacity to change things in games that are drifting, and is a better motivator and communicator with his players.

Maybe so. But he's still very identical to what we've already got for the past five years and unlike others I'm not sure he's the right man to take us to no. 19 as the settings are quite different to what he's been used too.

It takes a good manager to be able to turn realistic expectiations into trophies and in that area he has succeeded greatly, but I'm not at all convinced he's the right manager nor man for the Liverpool-job.

If we were to part with Rafa I would as I've said on numerous occasions go for someone young-ish, talented, attacking-minded and with the right mentality and willingness to learn and win. I'd install them alongside some full-blooded Liverpudlians like Carra, Kenny, Rush et all.

It's not his self adoration I dislike the most it's his antics and childish shenanigans when he either 1) wins or two 2) looses.

Maybe it's a bit to harsh a word to use, but I almost reckons he's a disgrace to the games at times. The way he mocked the Barca-faithfuls last night. The way he accused ref Frisk of beeing in Rijkaards pocket etc etc etc.

Mourinho didn't mock the Barca faithful. He went over to the Inter fans and saluted them. The ref, who favoured Barca all night, would have had his guts for garters (and those of the Inter players and officials who joined him) otherwise.

Other than that your criticisms of his behaviour are largely accurate IMO, but I'd make two points in that respect:

1. There's another side to the man as well. Witness for example the way that, despite his disappointment, he went round congratulating every Liverpool player when we knocked them out of the CL in *that* semi in 2005. I'm convinced a lot of his behaviour is deliberate rather than merely a rush of blood to the head, so I'm sure he could adapt it if we were to appoint him.

2. We've gone 20, that's TWENTY years without winning the league. Drastic action is needed to reverse that, and it's needed now.

Why on earth would Valdes try to turn Mourinho away from his own fans?

Anyways I think you are right with regards to his behaviour beeing mostly deliberate. It doesn't excuse him though IMO.

With regards to your second point. I couldn't agree more but to appoint someone very similar to what we've already got isn't one bit 'drastic'.

The inter fans were in the top teir that Mourinho ran to KHL.
Simple fact.

That aside if he had mocked the Catalans then I wouldn't hold it against him. The barca press launched a fairly derisory attack on him all week calling him a glorified translator and labelling him a fluke.

He passed his interview for the Madrid job with flying colours.

Yep.

Hunter has just been on SSN saying that it's all but adone deal for him to go to Madrid.

I'm not sure that'll work. He doesn't play the kind of football they demand, for one thing. Besides, imagine Mourinho taking Real there and winning, and him going over to salute the Real fans as he did the Inter fans last night. There'd be blood in the streets.

Graham Hunter, the guy based in Spain
good contacts?

Can't say I'd really noticed that. The only difference I have seen between them is that Hunter makes fewer claims to inside info.

He's right more often than not. Better than Ballague anyway
well no jose then. like I said, he'll get the boot regardless of winning la liga so all the jose fans needn't fret, we can approach him next year (if rafa fucks up two seasons in a row).

Hunters very good. He's a bit smug like but knows his shit.
And he almost always disagrees with Balag'ay' who incidentally has it as Pellegrino staying now.
