Just popped in to Blue Moon and they are happy with draw apart from a few grumbles about us.

They are confident against both Madrid teams (yes they are assuming Chelsea will lose) and wanted to avoid us and Bayern

They make a good point that the H/A will need switching as can’t have City/Chelsea fans in Madrid at same time (within 24 hours)

Sure, but just like Benitez absolutely destroyed Spanish teams when he was with us, I think Klopp has an understanding of how certain German teams play.
I mean our record against German teams hasn't been that bad when Klopp has been in charge.

Ajax have been patchy since the autumn though, whereas we have found our flow more

The point is can’t be taken lighlty.
We lacked strikers that season, think we had Fowler and Crouch who wasn’t in the best lf form but they were organised and won 3-0 over 2 legs. Two different eras but they are still tough. I believe we did beat them already back in 2010 in the Uefa though…

I watched that 2nd leg match. Ajax battered them and should have won easily, very profligate. Benfica are very lucky to be in the ¼ finals.

It's the perfect draw for us. Far far better than having to play Chelsea or City over two legs. Whereas City have Atleti (City will win) and then either Chelsea or Real and Chelsea have Real & City (though my money is on Real).

I'd just love love love to meet Real in the final and destroy them. And if the worst should happen ... at least we wouldn't have lost to another English club.
