Your match checks out. Of course you can statistically prove that we should avoid the best teams like cancer. But I never said anything about us having a better chance of beating Real over two games, I just said I don't want to lose against them in the final. Hence why I'd rather get it over with in the semi's.

Oh ok, and wow not even I am that miserable and bereft of all hope as to throw away a 2% edge just because I'm resigned to defeat and want it to hurt less. Not that I'm complaining, your sacrifice will do much to counteract the jinx ridden filth which will be spouted by many cunts on this site.

Except the odds mean fuck all in football Dantes.

Otherwise we'd be knocked out & the semis wouldn't matter cos it'd definitely be City v Real in the final.

Except its not. Cos that's boy how football works.

I lived in Madrid when Jupp coached them.... 5th or so in La liga but win the CL. Avoid this man!!!

Eintracht Frankfurt manager Niko Kovac will be the next coach of Bayern Munich, according to multiple reports in Germany.
A former Bayern defender, Kovac has long been considered a leading contender to replace interim coach Jupp Heynckes, who plans the retire at the end of the season.
And the 46-year-old is now set to take over in July, as first reported by Bild. He will receive a two-year contract, according to kicker, which also reported that a clause in his contract at Eintracht allowed for Kovac to join Bayern or one of two unnamed foreign clubs for a fixed fee of €2.2 million.
Kovac took over Eintracht Frankfurt in March 2016 and helped the club survive a relegation playoff that season before finishing 11th last year.
They are currently in fifth place, just two points behind Bayer Leverkusen for the final Champions League qualification spot with five games remaining.
Kovac said last week he was happy at Eintracht, where his contract runs for another season, but he left the door open for a possible change.
"There is no reason to doubt whether I'll be coach here next year," he said, but added: "So much happens in soccer. I don't know what will happen tomorrow. As things stand now, I am coach until 2019."
Bayern had previously targeted former Thomas Tuchel to take over, but CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed last month that the Borussia Dortmund boss had turned down the Bavarian club, while sources told ESPN he is Paris-Saint Germain's choice to be their next boss.
Rummenigge also said that Bayern would seek a German-speaking coach, and planned to make an appointment before the end of April. Other reported candidates included RB Leipzig's Ralf Hassenhuttl, Hoffenheim's Julian Nagelsmann and Freiburg's Christian Streich.
During his playing career, Kovac spent two seasons with Bayern Munich from 2001-03. After retiring from playing in 2009, Kovac remained at RB Salzburg as an assistant.
His first senior coaching job came with the Croatia national team, for whom he earlier starred as captain at the 2006 World Cup and Euro 2008.
Kovac is also a good friend of his former Bayern teammate Hasan Salihamidzic, who is now Bayern's sporting director.
Heynckes, 72, helped Bayern secure the Bundesliga title last weekend after replacing Carlo Ancelotti in October.

Kind of a "safe" choice – former player, friend of the sporting director, won't rock the boat. I would be surprised if he can stay there for more than 2 years.

Saw that, he’s done a good job at Frankfurt this season but not a «wow» appointment.

Madrid for me. 2 legs, and until they were handed the penalty at the death last night, they looked relatively poor by their own standards ( something it seems has been the case all season ). Plus, with the captain missing from the back for at least the first leg, I can see our forward three ripping them a new one. TAA will take care of the prima donna as well.

Roma are my clear choice.

Real Madrid have been below par this season, but they're still making the CL semis. They have the experience of how to win this tournament embedded throughout their squad, which counts for so much at this stage of the tournament. I'd fancy us to beat Bayern and Madrid over 90 minutes but I get less confident over a two legged tie.

I think we'll get Bayern, because that's the team most want to avoid. Just like City in the last round.

Hello Everyone

Why do any of you care about this ? - seriously I have no fear of any of the teams that remain other than the major fear that we may not be able to play our key players in what remains of this competition because of potential yellow/red cards that may prevent them from playing. Let me break it down to you:-

1) Real Madrid - seriously ? - they have been so inconsistent this season, riding their luck in this competition, I look at that team and honestly ? - they are just their for the taking - if Man City came up against them I would not be surprised if they put 6 past them. I mean am I right in reminding you all that Ronaldo scored for the first time against us the last time we were in the CL. Don't understand the worries some have or even the so called threat of Ronaldo. Also on a side point - whenever I see one of those players that played for Brazil in that 1-7 loss to Germany - I actually don't even consider that player worthy to be on the pitch.

2) Bayern Munich - when I saw Ribery/Rubben were still playing for them - I started thinking "what the fuck ?" - those two must be 50 going on onto 60 years of age. Neither have scored in the CL this season. It's a team that our manager knows very well, it's a team that gets challenged in its own league by... NO ONE ELSE. If we met them then all I can say is - they have not faced a team like us - just as Klopp said about Porto. I also have a feeling Klopp would LOVE TO fuck them over big time.

3) Roma - unknown quantity for me but doing OK in Serie A (4th place), and will know Salah quite well and probably how to deal with him. They have never been like the Juve's or AC Milan's with a strong tradition of defensive football - so I am guessing we could do very well against them. It is unlikely they would have faced a team like ours, the English game is much faster than the Italian game - we should be able overcome them.

Then there is us - I am so damn proud of the way we have evolved in this competition - the trajectory has been upwards, I am still amazed that we beat City 5-1 on aggregate - just say it to yourselves - we beat the best team in the world 5 -1, a team that has been relentless in possession football, and just look at the way we defended against them - what 2/3 shots we allowed them on target over two games. Fucking hell.. some of you guys are worried about facing what remains ? - give yourselves a break.

The biggest tragedy would be us not winning the competition when you consider what is left. At this moment in time we are so perfectly balanced - that kid of ours 'TAA' - what a fucking legend in the making - cool as ice he was, and this after his two mistakes against City, and Palace, he really has learnt the business now, his battles with Sane has been a massive education for him to the extent that he will be able to face any opponent in the world now and hold his own.

This current team of ours has proved to us that it's defense is now as good as its attack. I cannot actually see us been beaten by any of these sides and I am not a person that has been overconfident about our teams prospect out of arrogance or belligerence. Overall regarding the teams that remain - I feel the same way as I did in the last world cup when I saw Brazil enter the competition with that team of theirs..WHAT A LOAD OF SHIT

Arsed.

I went the pre season game there. I know we won by a lot but I was that wrecked I'd have to google to see the score. I think it was 3-0 or something. I do remember knowing that it was pre season so shouldn't matter, but when I mentioned this to all the Germans over the next day or two they were all like, nah, this is bad, Ancelottery is doomed coz of this. So yeah, I guess it's a very different Bayern now. Still wouldn't ph3aR them

Madrid. Fascists.
Roma. Fascists
Munich. Fascists.

Arsed.

Totally antifa.

Give a fuck.

Lazio are the fascists. Most Roma fans are rabid left-wing.

If it's about having the best chance to get to the final, then it's definitely Roma.
But I'd hate it if we go to the final only to lose to fucking Real.
So I want Real, if it makes any sense.

I agree with this. @Vlads Quiff and I were talking about it at the races today. He wisely opined that it would be better to dispatch Real Madrid in the semi-final, over two legs, than to play them in the Final, which would be a perfect arena for Ronaldo to display his show-pony skills in the biggest game of the season.

Actually it's pointless the draw is probably already fixed like this..

Us vs Bayern
Real Madrid vs Roma

I think so too. That gives them some decent story-lines with Klopp vs Bayern, a kind draw for star-studded Madrid and also the potential Real-Bayern final.

Roma think they have us:

As some netizens pointed out, there’s inconsistency in reference to Roma: use of A.S. Roma in the paragraph text. Roma in the first row (vs Genoa) and AS Roma in the second (vs Liverpool).

Anyway, can’t wait for the draw! 😉
