There seems to be a bandwagon against the fella growing.. just because he talks a little 'funny' and dances after he scores (which seem to rub people the wrong way, because only 'twats' dance after they score, right?; we need more Alan Shearer type celebrations).. hmmm. I can understand some Arsenal fans disliking him for his flirtation with Milan to get a better contract, but then that's just part and parcel of football.
Ultimately, the only thing that matter is what you do on the pitch, and he had an injury season last year and still got a respectable amount of goals. The only criticism i've got of him is he seems to disappear in some of the big games. Someone like Drogba (a proper cunt) seems to just bully defenders with his physical presence. Adebayor simply doesn't which was a shame for Arsenal because he has a similar potential to Drogba, to play a big role at a top club.

Not really.. Wenger plucked him from Monaco when no one knew who he was.. He kept on moaning and moaning especially in the last two seasons, dropping cheeky hints here and there about wanting to play somewhere else.. He has shown no gratitude at all whatsoever towards Wenger or Arsenal. I know all of this because my cousin is a gooner.
There's no bandwagon at all for me. I wouldn't mind seeing Torres dance, and Torres also talks a little 'funny'.. But everyone LOVES him..
I'm sorry if this is like ruining your whole "I'm holier than thou" agenda.

Are you another newbie with a chip on his shoulder?
I don't buy this whole "Wenger made him, he should be a grateful little African" nonsense. Plenty of players have come to the Emirates and left because they simply don't get paid what they would elsewhere. Anelka, Overmars, Hleb, Flamini were all players that Wenger took a chance. Fair enough. But once they HAD repaid his faith with good performances, they naturally wanted a better contract which reflected their worth to the team.
Arsenal, being Arsenal, drag their feet and don't seem to want to pay these players what they could so easily get elsewhere. I suppose by your logic, he should just be happy with his 30k contract, even though Arsenal, the club, are raking in MILLIONS based off the team's performances and players of lesser ability are getting more money at smaller teams. No, for me, he doesn't owe Wenger anything more than his best effort and performance on the field. Wenger is his manager, not his Dad.
P.s. all this 'agenda' stuff you've created is just meaningless shoe leather to me. I'm not one to get involved in that sort of thing, thanks. Lets keep it on football.

I hate this idea that because someone had a good season automatically they should be offered 100k a week.
Imagine the uproar if Newcastle had turned around to EMO a year ago and said "Er ... Michael , about this 120k we're paying you. You're injured all the time and shit when you do actually make it onto the pitch. We'd like to pay you 500 quid a week instead."

Adebayor had more than one good season Ross.
(If that's what you're actually on about!)
