“And I immediately afterwards said: ‘That’s a racist thing to say.’”
Rogan said he had deleted the podcast and admitted it was “an idiotic thing to say”, adding: “I was just trying to be entertaining. I certainly wasn’t trying to be racist, and I certainly would never want to offend someone for entertainment with something as stupid as racism.”
He added: “My sincere and humble apologies. I wish there was more that I could say.”

I thought the stats were flipped - the head of ER I spoke to said he saw that with the sub 60 population base ...
They're not necessarily contradictory, if the population is 90% vaccinated and unvaccinated end up in hospital at 10x the rate, you'd expect about the same number of vaccinated as unvaccinated in hospitals.
One of those stats above is for the whole population and the other is for over 60s, so its not comparing apples with apples.

The Charity Commission is to examine the accounts of the Captain Tom Foundation after they revealed £54,039 had been paid into two companies owned by Cpt Tom's daughter Hannah Ingram-Moore and her husband Colin.
Maytrix, a strategy company run by the couple, received £37,942 from the charity, according to the accounts from May 5, 2020, to May 31, 2021. Of this amount, £27,205 was paid for "third-party consultancy costs".

French President Emmanuel Macron refused a Russian Covid test ahead of his meeting with Russia's Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin has confirmed.
The test required a health protocol that was unacceptable and did not fit with the French leader's schedule, a French source told the BBC.
It follows reports that Mr Macron refused the PCR test over fears the Russians would get hold of his DNA.
The leaders subsequently held a socially-distanced meeting on Monday.

They did not shake hands and sat with a four-metre-long table between them, with observers wondering whether Mr Putin was using it to send a diplomatic message.
But French diplomatic sources told Reuters that Mr Macron had been told to choose between accepting a Russian PCR test to get closer to Putin or abide by strict social distancing rules.
"We knew very well that meant no handshake and that long table. But we could not accept that they get their hands on the president's DNA," one of the sources told Reuters.
The source did not elaborate on how the Russian intelligence services could exploit Mr Macron's DNA.
