It will be tight, but Chelsea have the momentum to nick it at Old Trafford.

Hopefully Utds star striker Webb won't be selected..

Apperantly Utd will bring Webb back into the starting line up for this weekends game.

Fuck me, I shouldnt have said anything. What are the odds for a big big decision being awarded in favour of the Mancs then....

Shame they didnt give it to Atkinson.

[/quote]Say you are joking Hans and it is not Howard Manc Webb refeering the match on Sunday

Ha! What a joke.

Webb in charge at Old Trafford
World Cup final referee selected for crucial clash

Howard Webb has been named as the man in the middle for Sunday's Premier League showdown between Manchester United and Chelsea at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils will be replaced by the Blues at the top of the table on goal difference with just two games of the season remaining should the visitors triumph.

Sir Alex Ferguson claimed in the wake of United's 1-0 defeat by Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on Sunday that key decisions have gone against his side this term.

Ferguson felt United should have been awarded a late penalty when Michael Owen went down under Gael Clichy's challenge, although he accepted Nemanja Vidic was fortunate to escape handling in the area in the first half.

The Scot was hit with a five-game touchline ban after criticising Martin Atkinson following his performance during the first meeting between the two sides at Stamford Bridge in March.

However, World Cup final referee Webb came down on United's side when he gave them a penalty against Liverpool in an FA Cup tie earlier this season.

That led to former Reds forward Ryan Babel posting a mocked-up picture of the Yorkshireman wearing a United shirt on Twitter, earning the Dutchman a £10,000 fine.

Mike Riley the Manc loving shithouse and in charge of the refs. Its incredible tbh.

Just read that he gave Utd 12 penalties in 23 games, thats a decent return.

Shouldn't the ref's association be charged by someone no longer in the game and affected by on the pitch decisions? Even if not... Mike fucking Riley!?!

What a joke.

At least Juventus got demoted for this sort of shit.

A Manc mate of mine just e-mailed me asking whether I'd forgotten the row David Gill and Riley had recently when Riley was in the director's box at Old Toilet and the ref on the pitch gave some decision against ManUre. I told him he's missing the point. This appointment now is probably a direct result of that spat. The Mancs, usually through Ferguson, make a fuss over some imagined slight so the authorities fetch the KY jelly, hand it to them and bend over.
