I actually think the high line that we & city are playing has been done partly knowing VAR will help rule out a lot of goals, & the higher the line the more likely the forwards will stray over it.

They are, but as I said earlier, I highly doubt they can keep up the pace doing it for much longer than an hour. I think there's only us & City in this league who are that fit.

If he's there next season & they have the right fitness coaches it'll be a different matter.

As do I, entirely. It may be consistent now, but it's not in the spirit of the offside rule, as it's ruling out goals where the attacker doesn't have an advantage as the margins are so tight.
