Fuck Chelsea, we had all this last Summer about Arsenal and Spurs. Let them buy who they want, we're never going to compete with punting £30m on every player they buy and having a £100m bench, but we can be clever about it.

That wasn't my point. i am not worried about who they buy as it means they will have to offload. Should we be interested in any my preference would be Schurrle.
Agree completely. I exhausted myself in the Jan window complaining about non-signings and we finished second. I want Rodgers to be backed to sign the players he wants to, but I don't really give a crap who our rivals sign, to be honest.

Hazard, Schurrle and Salah can possibly be classified as wide forwards though, I think. So you could have:
CF (pick 1): Costa, Torres, Ba
WF (pick 2): Hazard, Schurrle, Salah
CM (pick 3): Willian, Fabregas, Oscar, Ramires, Matic, Mikel
I doubt Moses and Marin will be in Mourinho's plans; probably Van Ginkel and Atsu won't be as well.

Possibly, but until they're gone, that's what they have. Anyway, the OP was talking about the midfield so I just listed the cunts they may have up front for completeness sake. Who are they linked to up front, besides Costa, by the way?
Also, with Kalas going on loan and Bertrand, Cole and Lampard leaving, who do they have left for the CL squad homegrown quotas?
The ones I can think of:
Club-trained: Terry, Mikel, ?, ?,
Association-trained: Cahill, ?, ?, ?
Moses & Fabregas are presumably association trained other than that nobody
Thorgan Hazard too. Will probably be loaned out though.
Oh yes, forgot about Moses and Fabregas, though I think the former will probably be shipped out. So I suppose they'll have to fill out the other four places with some young faces who're not going to kick the ball at all.
Does Thorgan Hazard qualify for home-trained status though? Because I think to be listed, you have to be eligible to play for the club for 2 or 3 seasons or something like that, after a certain age. I'm not sure being out on loan last season satisfies that, and I think he's been only at the club for 2 seasons?
