I decided to start this thread because i can't be arsed searching for the last one

Doc Mac. I apologise

I made sure to watch him today (even though lucas was naturally drawing my eye), and by fuck he moved a lot. Great mobility and vision from him today. I knew he had vision but never noticed his movement before today.

His stamina is continuing to increase too. If this is his standard level then we're lucky to get such a bargain.

Charlie Adam has been a great signing. That's all I have to say on the subject.

strange that the two outstanding performers from the summer signings were also the cheapest

wouldn't say bellers has been outstanding yet...

Yep, he's playing well and he's grown on me too. I don't take back what I said about him because it was an honest opinion but I'm happy he's proving me wrong. I've come to realise he'll never be Alonso but few players are. He IS earning my respect and definitely a place in our team. For 7m, a bargain.

He is more or less the player I was expecting.
It may have taken him a little more time to settle than I expected, and I don't think that is particularly his fault, but each week is becoming more and more the lynch-pin that we need in midfield.

regards

Him and lucas are fucking quality.

In the past 7 days they've shown up Chelsea and citys midfields.

While we're at it, I must say how much Lucas shocked me today. He was first class.

I have just almost eaten some humble pie on the Lucas thread . If he had played anywhere near the level that he has over the last two weeks, over the last few years why would anyone have a downer on him, he hasn't , but he is now. Long may it continue.

regards

Might have meant Enrique, TBF.

Yep he's been getting better and better and regardless of Lucas's awesome display today and last week it would he I drop for Gerrard when he returns and keep Adam in the side.

Charlie Adam was a slow starter and lacked stamina. He had quality about him but couldn't sustain it. I didn't think he was good enough for us but of late he has confounded me. Him and Lucas have been overrun in midfield this season by lesser teams but they have stepped up big time. They are looking a better partnership and more instrumental with each passing week. Long may it continue.

No doubt he did. just thought I'd be picky

Just found out that Adam's ascendancy is most probably due to Lucas immensity.

Good to hear you're seeing the light Sunny, but I think people need to stop even talking about him in respect of Xabi. He'd a different player, he's not a metronome who spreads the play with unfailing accuracy- but with Lucas increasingly taking on that mantle, we shouldn't want him to do that. The good news is that he's a player that will score more goals and create more assists than Xabi ever did.

He has showed quality from the day he arrived, and although he did have a few games where he wasn't at his top level, I think some were overly critical of him, and missed the positive contributions he was making.

Half the site missed the succession of beautiful passes he made in the Swansea game, so desperate they were to find a scapegoat. But hey ho, onwards and upwards.

I'm glad he's improving Doc too, trust me. I don't have any agenda against him - I don't do scapegoats mate 🙂

He played a ball down the line to suarex yesterday , it was only 30 odd yards but it was a sublime ball and I remember sitting up and thinking just how good he is.

He is fantastic, he's not a Xabi clone, he's a bit like Gerrard without the raw power for me, he's also got that classy-ness of Alonso too, he's really starting to shine. Our midfield duo cost £11million, what a fucking bargain.

There's nothing like having a no-nonsense Scottish man in the side, that's what we've been lacking! Scottish players have made an invaluable contribution to Liverpool over the years, Hansen, King Kenny, Souness, McAllister and now Adam. Shankly and Dalglish of course making great contributions as managers.

Missed Binny's great stat- anyone who continues to say Chuck is lazy and doesn't cover the ground please stfu-

Charlie Adam admits he does not look like a long-distance runner but he is Liverpool's hardest working midfielder. The Scot has run 78.27 miles in 12 Premier League matches. Lucas (71.43 miles) has covered the next furthest distance.

Adam has only been out-run by Aaron Ramsey (81.68 miles) and Yaya Toure (79.1 miles) when compared with the midfielders of Arsenal, Spurs, Man City, Man Utd and Liverpool. He has run on average 6.52 miles per game.

I think Adam is ace. He seems to have cut out the Boris Johnson tackles which was my only gripe about him.

Boris Johnson tackles! Hahaha! That had me wondering for a while.
