I still think if Reina didn't make that save we would have been beat 2 or 3-1.
But we scored twice, in real life. Not some, imaginary probability thing if Reina didn't make that save???
In real life he made the save if he didn't it was 2-1 to Chelsea.
And when did I say that Adam didn't have a part to play in our goals? In real life aswell.

Any coincidence that Adam's much better when he has players around him that want and take the ball regularly?

Maxi, Bellamy and Kuyt all moved around and all showed for the ball throughout the match(esp 1st half) making it easier for Adam to pick his passes and spray the ball around.

Whereas when it's Henderson and Downing on the flanks, they can be quite static and go missing. Carroll up front can be very static also and all this means Adam's choices are limited when it comes to passing the ball.

Big performance by Adam today. Really showed his class on the ball and his tackling was superb.

I don't get the shit he gets, I think he's great.
Defo. I put up with people dragging him down when the jury was still or but it no longer is.

He was shit against Swansea (in my opinion, of course)

He was great today so i'll praise him for it. I don't see the issue.

His stats so far have been great, I know stats aren't everything, but if we're judging him end product then he's had a significant impact.

Overall i think he's doing well, but i think a midfield 4 of Hendo-Lucas-Adam-Downing is one of the most uninspiring and shit midfields we've had under kenny.

It is, and I wouldn't argue the toss, but that's just a bad combination, it doesn't make Adam shit.

No, i know. I think today proved the issues against Swansea and Stoke were more down to that midfield 4 than just the partnership of Lucas and Adam (which was widely criticised after the Swansea match)

Yeah, I think the midfield two got better protection today from the formation. That said, we're still leaving gaping holes infront of the defence, as we found out in the second half, they exploited it a few times.

Great today though Krump
Thought he was immense in the first half but faded into his old "turd" self in second half. I think someone has to continue with Brendan's agenda around here cause the site just isn't the same without it.

Definitely. Maxi played just ahead of Lucas and Adam but he was alongside them when Chelsea had the ball.
- Added with the fantastic work-rate of Bellamy and Kuyt, we made it really difficult for Chelsea, albeit they did get a bit of joy second half.

Also helps our defensive line is much higher up the pitch. Our back 4 today was a pretty mobile and quick one.

It also helped that Chelsea plays a high back 4. Since our forwards will be among them, they'll be closer to our midfield. This meant we weren't as stretched compared to teams that park the bus in front of their goal.

he was best of a bad bunch against Swansea
Heh, you play the court jester so often it's sometimes confusing - but the sarcasm in that comment is unmissable.

Well in lad.

He was trying too hard in our early games and I really thought he was going to be another Danny Murphy. Great passing in the odd occasion but generally just giving possession away with silly passes.
Looks way way more classy than that. He's a damn good midfielder. His stamina also seems to have improved. One of the best set piece deliverers in the league (easily the best in Liverpool).

Well done Kenny and Co.

His set pieces were shocking against Chelsea, but that aside I do agree that Adam proved himself capable of playing for a club of our stature on Sunday. I also agree that his improved fitness has a lot to do with that.

It was his most complete performance in a Liverpool shirt by a long, long way.

Agreed his first few corners were shocking. At that point in time I thought set pieces were our best chance score so I was well pissed off with his delivery.
