Champions League Quarters

I don't know why, but since he's left Spurs I really like Kane, hope he and Bayern win it.

Of course this is in no way influenced by the fact that if Bayern win it, Arsenal and City don't.
Is there nothing to be said for a City v Arsenal semi final?

I'd if an English team is going to win it, I'd prefer City do it ........ then get striped of all titles in the last 10 years.

No, I want humiliating exits for both, absolutely zero interest in them succeeding. (this applies tenfold for City)

Undecided on this.

On one hand, a semi final between Arsenal and City is two tough games for both of them.

On the other hand, I'd like to see them deflated a bit, especially Arsenal, who now seem really smug and are getting on my nerves.

I look at the teams left in it and I kind of understand how other teams must feel about the closed-shop nature of the Premiership. I wouldn’t mind if Dortmund win it, but the other 7 teams? Can’t stand them.

Absolutely there is. I don't give a fuck about the CL - I want us to win the PL and a semi between Arsenal and City could be a factory in that.
Seeing them lose the final to PSG or Atletico would be brilliant.

That Saka dive is embarrassing.

I don't think it's a dive, by that metric Elliotts at the weekend would also be classed as a dive.

He (Saka) did initiate contact, whereas Elliott had nowhere to go.

If he'd tried to tuck his leg, he'd probably have still got contact from Neuer and it'd have fallen into the nowhere to go category and a penalty, as it was, he outstretched his leg instead and it made it seem like he wanted the pen rather than scoring.

I do think he’s a really good footballer, great passing range and weight on top of the goal scoring. It’s ok to be open about it now he doesn’t play for spurs.

It did feel like he purposefully overstepped to make sure there was visible contact, as he lost the ball. Least Elliott made a successful pass to Salah when being challenged.

The only annoying thing about Arsenal still having one eye on the second leg, is that they play Villa on Sunday which should be a tough game in theory... but Villa play their own European knock out game tomorrow night... so they will possibly have even more focus on Europe and some tired legs.

Anyway, let's hope they (Arsenal) rotate and get the Ollie Watkins treatment.

Great the ties aren’t over.

Hope they both get stuffed in the second leg.
Makes you wonder, "if" City get knocked out and Arsenal makes the finals (Atter both losting at the weekend) what will Arsenal really wanted..?

To have a tough figth to the wire for the Title. with both City and Liverpool, something that they have not won in 20 years; and run the very real possability that they could sustain injuries and end up losing out on both the Title and CL.

Or not fight so hard for the Title, and hope that they may still win it, but rest players to concerntrate on the CL; and all that follows on from that. The Super Cup and World Club Championship?

They have a squad spirit that I could see carrying them to both. No injuries. Lots of attackers in form. If that defence stays fit, they could fight on both fronts.

Its a dive. No doubt. He has previous with doing the exact same thing. Kicking out and initiating contact.

The ref yesterday was brilliant and made the right call.

He's tried to con the ref into thinking he was fouled in the box.

It's blatant cheating and should've been booked.

A shame he resorts to this as he really doesn't need to.
