The first leg will be in Germany on August 15/16, with the return at Anfield on August 22/23.

Last night of my holidays is 23rd. I'm hoping second leg is 22nd, cos if I'm AWOL last night of the holidays the kids & the rest of the family (there's twelve of us going, me the only footy fan) are gonna be well pissed off at me, so I'll be forced to watch it on my tablet in the hotel disco, which is less than ideal.

I should able to get away with fucking off to shanklys bar for the match if it's the 22nd though!

We are winning league after thumping Bayern to we might not qualify because we drew a decent German side.

Obviously we are in the middle and will comfortably negotiate them.

I don't think there is much worry but they just seem to be a 'harder' draw on paper than the other possible teams due to them doing okay in Germany (5 points off 2nd).

I didn't overly fancy playing Balotell or a trip to Istanbul either.

It's the worst case scenario, but they're not unbeatable. It's basically the draw both teams wanted to avoid, but if we play well we should go through. They're going to be parking the bus for 180 minutes, so hopefully we pull a bit of magic out of somewhere.

I'm excited to see us go out at full intensity and absolute batter them. Get it over with in the first leg. We've had some great warm ups against top quality players - I don't think we can be concerned about not being sharp for this one.
