We need fullbacks and he's a free agent. That's about it.

I'd be OK with it tbh. Give him a 6 months contract with a one year option.

Best left back of the premiership era. But at 35 there's no way he could be anywhere close to a regular - especially in a position that requires a hell of a lot of running. Mind you, Maldini carried on until 40 didn't he?

Besides - Moreno & Clyne have been fine - play the youngsters if need be.

I once got chased and threatened with a golf club by Cashly's minder/mate in Godalming Surrey. Awwww happy days 🥷

Where you rummaging around in the bushes playing with your lad?
Haha! No it was when my mate took a photo of him pissed and driving. His mate/minder took exception to that and chased us with a 5 iron..... A wood...... A blue veined spunk trumpet...... A purple headed love trunchon.... I'm not sure what it was but it was dangerous looking!

I wouldn't have minded signing him before he went to Roma but now, as far as I can tell, there's pretty much nothing left of the player he used to be.

Cafu is 45 now though. If thats Cashleys level then he should be trying to get into the Chelsea "legends" team instead.

Yeah, get him signed up. He'd be a great fit at 35 for a team who's new system involves running around like a madman for 90mins.

This reminds me of one of Shanks' specials. Somebody once told him that a player called Tony Currie, when he was about 30, was as good as Tom Finney. "Aye", Shanks growled, "but Tom Finney's 52".

You started the thread 😉
Granted I haven't really seen him play for a long while but he's 34, not exactly too old for the premiership and he's affordable.
I'm talking 6 month contract here as backup or competition for Moreno and Clyne not a permanent left back solution.

Name all the 34 year old full backs doing well in the Premiership
