I reckon pretty much til 1.00.

I'm pretty sure there's a "listen again" feature though.
 
Carra should have been a bit more bullish when they asked him if we could win the league - "we're not favourites, but you never know", that kind of thing. I'm a bit surprised Keys and Gray haven't made more of that answer (though TBF they've dropped some of the bias against us they used to show on TV).

Both of them regularly called every decision against us and I did have an issue with that, but it's true they haven't been adequately replaced. Now they're off TV they don't seem to feel the need to have a go all the time. I don't listen much to their radio show, but don't have a problem with it when I do.

Our Jamie doesn't half love the sound of his own voice. always has.

Club legend and one of my favourite players over the years but he's a bit of an arselicker when it comes to the media.

His latest line is an foreign manager in charge of England is a form of cheating and is embarrassing. This is the same Jamie Carragher that came out of International retirement when Capello came calling. ???

TBF I'm damn sure he knows that was hypocritical, but imagine your dream job came up, but you disagreed with the way the CEO was chosen, it wouldn't put you off the job, but you would have every right when you finsihed the employment to criticise that CEO's appointment.

He's got a deal with TalkSport of some kind anyway, I know a friend of his & they did something to do with his bar when it first opened that provided some decent funding, & I'm pretty sure he is lining up his post-footy career the best way he can, I've no problems with that.

Keys is/was fucking awful and don't miss him at all. Andy Gray was a great co-commentator, though. Wilkins is terrible.
 
Really annoys me Wilkins - he is an expert in stating the obvious. I know this may sound rather strange especially me coming from the South East and close to London but when it comes to football commentary - I prefer a bullish northern accent than some half p*ssy licking cockney accent who just continuously changes his tune as the game changes - if you ever want to teach your kids about what being hypocritical, or lying then get them to listen to good pussy licking Ray Wilkins commentary. Underneath all that calm talking is a raging screwed up thug IMO.

No matter what you thought of Andy, when he talked it was lively and passionate - I mean who will forget that night about what he said when SG scored that goal against Olympiakos ?
its synonymous with the Goal that SG scored - you can still hear it in your head. Now think what Ray would f*cking Wilkins would be like in commentating on that goal ... EXACTLY - PUSSY LICKING SHITE !!!

I haven't had Sky for ages. I haven't seen this Gary Neville character or had to worry about the Wilkins factor.

When I put the footy on in the pub there are usually several options on channel - and I could pick English speaking ones but I always opt for something I can't understand. It's ace - because after any given match you jump onto a message board and you can see what the collective have been force fed in terms of decisions and game changing events - and it is very seldom what I watched. I don't mean just Liverpool games, I go on a world footy forum and it's the same there.

See, I do similarly, except I usually swap from foreign (yet English comms) to Sky or vice-versa, the difference is often staggering in the slant they portray on the game.

TBH, it's the main reason I miss Andy Gray, when he commentated he made a point of telling you what runs players were making off screen & focusing on the action you COULDN'T see, which for me is exactly what I want the commentator to do, I can see what's happening on the screen, cos it's happening in front of my eyes, I want a commentator to tell me what I miss by not being there.
 
It was much worse when I was a kid listening to the games at night on the radio. You'd have local radio on and they were always determined we were going to score any minute. Flip over to national and we'd be getting battered.

Haha, that's still the same. I have mates who insist on listening to us on Radio Shitty as they portray us 'more fairly'. I always tell them to listen to a match that's televised with the sound off on the TV, it's so amazingly biased & positive it's untrue.

I'd prefer them to be overly critical than the spin they put on us.

season after season for 20 years it's the same thing, just fucking get on with it maybe that way if we are out of the title race by christmas (as we usually are) we don't look like cunts.

Are you fucking kidding me?! How do you interpret his comments as that?

To paraphrase, I heard, "at the moment we'd realistically be challenging Arsenal & Spurs for fourth & I'd be happy, however if we're three points behind Utd in Feb I'd fancy us, my expectation changes during the season depending how we're playing"
