I can't see how he is going to survive, he either makes his mother look like the oaf she is and says she is talking shite, which I think is unlikely, or says nothing and will remain persona none gratis with the fans.

From the little that was decipherable in her FB post, I'd say what's wound her up is the fact that he's been called not just useless but specifically a "Cockney cnut". I'd have had more sympathy with that if her own lowlife pals hadn't been coming it with "dirty Scousers" etc.in the same thread.

I'd quite happily cheer him if he started playing decent football, no matter what his embarrassing mum might have said. It seems an unlikely development, though, at 29. Hopefully we'll buy a decent LB in January and Paul can go back down sarf.

To be fair if shes in the crowd and a fan is calling her son a cockney cunt.... its gonna upset the woman.
Hes not good enough its true but there are a number of players in the team who also fail into that category, if i was a cockney and my family was being slagged of by scousers who should be supporting then i would call the scum as well.
