I've just been reading that he's out of contract at the end of the season and he's having a bit of a public spat in the media with Houllier.

I believe he's been guilty of a bit of a bad attitude in the past, but he's proven himself to be a good player in the Premiership and a decent target man. Plus I supposed I'll always be a little biased as I remember him putting in one of the most devastating forward performances I've ever seen against Real Madrid in the CL for Lyon.

He'll be 32 at the start of next season, but at a reduced fee could he be worth a punt in the short-term?
 
If we could have got hold of Carew at the start of this season, before the ownership issue was sorted out, I would have voted for that on the basis that he would be a better backup than Ngog.

However, I would hope that under the new ownership, Mr. Hodgson can speak to Mr. Henry nicely and set his sights of a better, younger long-term option.

Ha, well if we're going to play hoofball anyways we may as well be good at it.

I was thinking of it as a cheap way to boost our striking options in the short-term in Jan.
 
I think you and I discussed this before Ken, I'm a fan too. Especially on a free.

It would kinda stunt the development of n'gog though, so I'm not sure.

think you've said in the past that n'gog would work better in tandem up front. So i think the arrival of carew could actually help n'gogs development, as long as it's a 442

as i said, i think it was you...
