Luis Alberto Romero Alconchel (San José del Valle - Cádiz, September 28, 1992) lands tonight at 23.30 at the airport of A Coruña.

The attacking midfielder, who played last season at Malaga on loan from Liverpool, plans to spend Monday morning July 6 medical examination by Deportivo, from 9.00 in the hospital HM Model Coruna.

Looks like a crack addict in that pic. Wonder what the fee is, prolly can only be a couple of mill.

[article]Depor coach Víctor knows the player well from their time together in the 2011-12 season when he was Michel’s assistant and is keen to strengthen the team’s attack because as of the moment, he only has Oriol Riera and Luis Fernández up front. Luis Alberto’s versatility is what has attracted the Depor coach – he can play in a number of positions as an attacking midfielder, deep-lying forward or out wide on the right wing.[/article]

Hope this loan move turns out to be better than his last one at Malaga.

I'd like to know whether (and, if yes, to what extent) they've been involved in what *seems* - fingers tightly crossed here - to have been a decent summer window so far.

There's a decent player in there. Maybe it was a poor transfer, but we are compounding that by poor management of the player afterwards.

Yeah he actually looked capable when he played, but a really poor transfer everything considered.

Look you sign these young lads and you hope they become the real deal.
Some do some dont. But that doesnt mean the policy of signing players like this is unsound.
0-10m for an emerging European talent is a positive step and relatively low risk.

Its far better fishing in this pond than the prem proven 20m bracket.

Good luck to the kid, I hope he goes on to play some good football.

[article]Deportivo La Coruna have signed former Sevilla and Malaga attacker Luis Alberto on a season-long loan from Liverpool.

The 22-year-old, who can play as an attacking midfielder or on the wing, passed a medical with his new club on Monday and has consequently spoken of his desire to gain plenty of first-team experience at Riazor.

“I want to reconnect with the pitch, enjoy myself, give joy to the fans and return the faith of my Coach,” he told reporters.

“I spoke with the Coach [Victor Sanchez], who knew me from Sevilla. He told me to come here and that I’d be very happy and feel like player again at the level of two years ago.

“He knows me and where I have to improve, and now I’ll put myself at his disposal. I’m really looking forward [to playing under him].

“[Depor’s objectives] are the same as they were at Malaga last season. We must think about survival and, once that’s achieved, something else.

“However, we have to be realistic at first and achieve our objectives quickly so we can enjoy the final part of the campaign.”

Alberto joined Liverpool in the summer of 2013, alongside fellow Spaniard Iago Aspas, but struggled to make an impact on the Reds’ Premier League title tilt and made just 15 appearances for Malaga last season.[/article]
